WOW that tool on the tractor works wonders! Helps save a lot of time and energy lol... I never forget me and my mom dug a fifty foot by 4 ft long trench in the mountain for my auntie Bell. We did it with a pick shovels and that was dire lol .. 12 hr day's and three days long! We were exhausted literally! I'll never forget it as long as I live. The reason we couldn't use a bobcat or tractor is because it was up and down the side of the mountain it was to steap. I'm still exhausted from that job lol....

Good morning. Give it a try! If it works the way you are thinking it will won't that be great! Digging that out by hand would have taken an incredible amount of time and energy. You are absolutely right. Every little bit is progress. You did good so far with what you have. Wait on some rain. You did it! Woo hoo! I bet you are both so happy to have this part over and done with. That was about as close as it gets for fitting. Lol. Have a blessed day. Thanks.

A two-compartment septic tank is what's needed. Your tank is designed for wastewater only, not waste AND water. A two-compartment tank will have waste/sludge in one compartment and then water/effluent in the other, which then drains into your leach field. You may have issues with your field lines in due time because solids will be able to more easily flow into them and clog them. But, I hope it works out for you.

@evamyrick98035 жыл бұрын
That worked pretty good. Boy you can't do that on our property. Just trying to dig a hole large enough the plant a one gallon flower pot in before you get a shovel deep the hole is full of water. On the farm I grew up on, my brother and I hand dug a 6 ft w by 6 ft L by 6 foot deep hole to build a septic tanks in. The tank was made out of red brick in which my brother and I laid,. We did this same thing for a well pit.

Nicely done except for the tank choice. The tank appears to be a pump tank or 'pump chamber' designed to receive effluent from a true septic tank. The scum layer will be thicker because the layer is confined to the narrow neck and top of the round tank. This could cause the scum layer to rise above the inlet and outlet breathers causing havoc. Also, the inlet and outlet are very close together. A greater distance between the inlet and outlet allows for more thorough separation of scum, solids, and effluent. Better separation extends the life of the leach field. Then again, maybe you took that into account considering your daily usage. Thanks.

renting a skidster with an auger attachment is not that bad. I rented one for 900 for 7 days and it came with a trailer. I did have to rent a f250 from home depot to transport it on day one and day 7. It was worth it though. The first two days i used a rock box and scraped all the rocks of the property. I was able to do a lot of pre planned work with the skid.

I'm not against this.. as a city grandma I have no clue, just enjoy learning and admire you.. BUT!! Why not do an outhouse? I get the indoor plumber advantage, but is that the only reason? I like watching the Alaska living shows and see how they just dig new holes for out house when filled, and they plant a tree. Also.. sure nice I didn't see any roots in your way, but it also means that those tree roots had to go real deep for their water.. praying for rain for you.
