I met (and I use the word advisedly) this lovely lady very briefly. I was an assistant house manager and was at the TV Theatre Shepherd's Bush. We were backstage for some reason or other and there was a manhole cover left off in the corridor. Lyndsey was walking towards us speaking to her manager, missed the open cover and tripped. At that point I thought that I had killed Lynsey De Paul! She was so brilliant!! She laughed and was so gracious as we assisted her up. She could have sued the BBC, but she was so wonderful. I will always have a soft spot for her in my heart. RIP you wonderful lady.

I was lucky enough to briefly meet lynsey back in the 80s when I worked in a shop on the kings road Chelsea, she was absolutely stunning breathtakingly stunning, I could feel my face burning as I spoke to her blushing, and the thing I really remember was how polite and down to earth she was, she was a celebrity but it didn't go to her head like some, I wanted to ask for her autograph and I'm sure if I had she would have given it to me, but I was young and too embarrassed to ask, gone too soon beautiful women RIP Lynsey. I think you could spend a little bit longer focusing on the gravestone. That's what everyone clicks to see, not the ten minute walk. You could talk about her while the camera is pointing at the gravestone with little images of her appearing in the corner of the screen. And there's something very patronising about patting the headstone on the 'head'. But the idea is good. It just seems that the main focus point is the least important. It would be lovely to finish with her song "won't somebody dance with me " while the camera is on her gravestone and then it slowly fades out. That would send shivers down tge viewers spine.

Bought all of Lynsey’s singles. A naughty remembrance; when I was at senior school in the early 70’s sales of an edition of New Musical Express went through the roof when Lynsey appeared in it dressed in a see through top wearing nothing underneath! You can imagine why all us school boys rushed to W H Smith’s to buy a copy! I should think that was the best selling edition of NME in their history! Sadly, I no longer have it. Like everyone else I was shocked to learn of her sudden death. Lynsey was beautiful until the end and such a talented lady. RIP.

I had the privilege to meet Lyndsey entertaining at a special event in London many years back, I did a card effect which she signed and I have framed on my wall, I remember her being so sweet and enthralled with the trick I did, ironically she was left sitting alone at the table which Is why I approached not knowing who she was until I introduced myself, I just recall saying "a pleasure to meet you" as I left and she said "Likewise" I was absolutely taken in by her eyes and didn't want to leave, but I was working so professionalism took precedence, how I would have loved to have known more as she and I had shared difficult times as I found out much later. She's gone physically but what a legacy she left behind and a gentle beautiful spirit 🌹

I don't usually go for blondes, but lynsey was so strikingly beautifully pretty she could make any man melt. Lynsey as one can imagine was a very popular lady with very well respected upper class people. My icon profile picture is that of the 1974 mott the hoople album on which lynsey did backing vocals. Mott the hooples lead guitarist luther grosvenor was nicked named aerial bender by paul. Luther when often moody would walk along the road snapping the aerials from all the cars! Lynsey was a animal rights activist who adopted many cats. One she named tri pod because it had three legs! Lyndsey de paul a very bright pretty lady who had a superb sense of humor with that voice, makes my heart melt!

Thank you for another great video Paul . You are always so knowledgeable and respectful and I hope many people will take heart at the advice you gave about when any of us are feeling low or not having the best time . Lynsey was a very beautiful and talented lady and I just watched a video of her singing Wont Somebody Dance with Me in 1973 and what looked like the Les Dawson show . I didnt know her first manager was Gordon Mills , who at various times managed Tom Jones , Engelbert Humperdink and Gilbert O'Sullivan . Gilbert's song Claire was supposedly written about Gordon's Daughter of the same name . Please continue to take the Mick out of yourself and your beard stroke and pointing finger when you find a grave has become your trade mark now !.
