Yup... this color reminds me of my Dad. He always has a 4" chartreuse pepper lizard on a Carolina rig on the deck wherever he goes.

I thnk bass have only two types of colour cones, this colour is most likely a shade of white to them if I;m not mistaken... ( I do like using it though, especially if the water has any yellow/clay element to it)

This is indeed true, and at depth, the Chartreuse color appears a bright white even to the human eye. There are a few videos on KZbin showing this to be true with a GoPro and several colors of baits being dropped deep.
