I have a weird emotional connection to this game. I worked an under the table job washing dishes when I was 14 and saved up enough to buy a computer and this was the first game I bought. I remember just sitting in my room trying to find all the pathways at night just totally escaping into it. Blade runner was my favorite movie and I couldn't believe how good this game was.

While the system is archaic the story is very nicely done and a great way to play through another side of the story. Absolutely loved it.

Thanks for the watch! It Def is a great way to play thr game if you have the original disc's. Pretty cool in that regard

I am late to this video, but I should note that the ScummVM version does support save games made in the original classic version. It's not a 1-step process, though, like "copy the files there and it will work". One has to use the ScummVM debugger and the "load" command implemented for it (see the ScummVM wiki for the Blade Runner game for details).

It's a great way to play the game using actual hardware. It's pretty cool!

Would you recommend the Enhanced Edition. I know some reviews say it looks worse than the original?

I don't think it's too too bad, and Nightsdive usually does a good job, but I personally prefer the original

@Kelphelp Yea, you're right. I bought the enchanted edition yesterday because it was on sale for $4. I have it on GOG as well. But I think graphix difference is not that much better. Sometimes, it looks like it has fewer details in the background. The controls are improved, though. Unfortunately, the Enchanced edition when I tried playing it has a buzzing noise in the background, so it's a no-go for me. I'll stick with the GOG version even if it has slightly worse controls.

@@Kelphelp Nightsdive usually does a good job? With a simple reshade filter to blur the pixelation a little bit and selling it as enhance? lol

Does the version on steam have the original vm scum watever on it?

It should have it. Don't see any reason it shouldn't.
