I learned about these games probably 20 years ago. I wanted the ps1 version so bad but at that time you couldn't really find ps1 games at retail stores anymore and retro videogame stores were not as common. So I settled for the GBA version when i saw it for $5 at a flea market. I loved it even though i heard it was missing so much. Then a couple of years later once I became an adult I got myself some highspeed internet and bought the PS1 version on eBay right away, I never had internet growing up. And I have to say it was a little disappointing. I heard before that the GBA version was missing a lot of stuff but it wasn't. Yes you meet Nash way earlier and cut scenes are removed, but that's it. Maybe it's a little easier and you go through it faster? But as an adult I don't have time to spend 50 hours on a game. The dialogue in the GBA version was much better, perhaps a more accurate translation? And the voices in the PS1 game were atrocious, I preferred the voices I created in my head when I played the GBA version. I still like the game and I even bought the PSP version the day it came out. But I have not played it yet because adulting sucks. I wish they ported the second game to the PSP because I think the story in that one is better.

So what we got now to look forward to I know there's banjo kazooie I'm not sure how far along that is what else in the Nintendo 64 universe we already have the zelda games thats all i know lol

Nightdive sadly screwed the pooch with the EE version but thats a small blip in in their catalog. I do hope they go back and patch it up someday if they ever find the source code or whatever.

Does anybody know if there is a 2k or 4k cutscene mod? One thing I always lament in old games is that the modded experience can look really good while the cutscenes becomes a blurry little box. I always try to suggest this to devs to offer this option for stronger computers but sometimes to no avail. I know theres a few for this game, but is there anyone you reccomend more than others? I have looked at the AI-upscaling one...

I play on Windows 7 pc and it plays well I have mods and i don't use Steam. I play female and always play light side never played dark side. I have to play Kotor 2 because Kotor 1 keeps crashing a few times on me. I just keep playing Kotor 2 over and over but I would love to play Kotor 1.

1 big upside to the ps1 version in retrospect is the fact that its 240p which looks a lot better than 480i when upscaled. But the dreamcast i believe is 480p which is beautiful to behold. Especially on a vga monitor

It would be nice if the new remaster included the original Sega CD versions. I got to play the original Eternal Blue before the Complete editions. I missed Silver Star though.

The PS2 had a better GPU than the GameCube, better audio capabilities, better game format, and was fully backward compatible and had faster loading. GameCube had a better CPU that’s it.

It’s not that hard they couldn’t easily give it nowadays graphics with the style of the 64. I don’t understand why they have to make such a small improvement.

I remember being 15 years old and bummed when my pc stopped running new games around 2000. I heard Bethesda and Bioware's next RPG's being on xbox as well as pc - making me run out buy an xbox around launch. To this day, I've been replaying the original xbox versions of KoToR I&II, regardless of having plenty of gaming PCs since then. I finally bought the steam versions this year and haven't done a proper modded playthrough yet - This video is a godsend. Seriously, modding some of these classics with dedicated communities can be a massive headache, even with a steam guide. Having a video showcasing and talking about any cons to be aware of is an incredible resource when getting through this process with as little tedium as possible

this isnt a port its emulated, i think the pc port of majoras mask is the best way to play the game by far, NSO is objectively a scam. in the community this emulation quality has been around forever, praising nintendo for this is laughable

The Gamecube version doesn't have "better audio". The Dreamcast has a built in signal processor to balance the audio, and its removal was never adjusted for later ports, if anything they made many sound effects louder. There's a mod for the PC version that restores volume to be more like the Dreamcast version, and the difference is night and day.

I hate that I can't find the forum post I read this on, but the main issue F-Zero X has on NSO isn't that the Switch's CPU isn't powerful enough! It's because the game's physics are tied to the framerate, and in the N64 it ran at something like 59.5fps, while the NSO version is running at 60fps. This causes a ton of dropped frames because of the CPU constantly trying to match the game to the framerate. This is why you need to set the CPU to "interpreter" on P64 so the game runs as it should.

Still the best remake ever made and lovely to have it on the switch, even if it’s not the best way to play such an old game.

If anyone here creates mods through Steam, I have a request for a mod: Remove Mandalore from the Ravager. Personally I think Mandalore is useless on that level, especially against Darth Nihilus and I think bringing Atton, Disciple/Handmaiden, or Mira would be better. Having a third Jedi companion would make that fight a lot better.

This is too harsh of a review for an n64 game. Overall it looks great with the high resolution 2D items on the switch. The game is great and it’s awesome people can finally play this game as it is still very fun. Lastly this is the first time daisy and waluigi appeared on Mario party

I owned the SEGA Genesis version, and lived in it, being the best Spider-Man game ever, I heard second place was claimed by Spider-Man for PS4. I played these one's and the next generation from here, I think I gave up on Ultimate Spider-Man, I had all his cards, and like 100 comics from all his 'universes', which makes you cross eyed by the way. Good review. Loved the Ghost Rider cameo. Fuckin' A!

I wish there was a decent armoury overhaul mod. For some reason I despise the design of a majority of the armours in this game and have to choose between good stats and looking good, I know it's like an in joke "fashion souls" but this stuff bothers me more than it should in games. I feel like armour designs improved a lot as the series went on.
