$1,500 for a poor Denon Go / Mixstream Pro+ w/bluetooth $500 for a Mixtour Pro, it being that price due to it being more features + allowing hardware unlock of DJay Pro on any version of Algoriddim DJ's software $800 Hurcules T7 Premium is great to see, even tho it should've been sold as this. still seems to be a solid device Overall thats really it sadly it seems

The Headliner 4 channel rotary may have been my favorite thing I saw at NAMM ! Sounded really good, the knobs were chunky and smooth and the price point is insane at $599, might have to snag one for house blends

I think alpha theta is going to be like the Lexus and pioneer dj is like the Toyota. It does look like an art piece that’s meant for like house furniture. “Oh you got a set up? I brought my usb. Let me plug in.” It would be like having a piano in the house. I wouldn’t get it but I’m intrigued at the technology for the future equipment we will see down the road. That blue tooth plug in is dope

Hi-end dj gear ….makes sense…but dj gear is already inaccessible for many because of the investment. A budget line would have been interesting.

Honestly I don't think this makes much sense. Having Serato as a separate company allows AlphaTheta to MAKE money off their competitors.

they are specifically stating they won't merge (i.e resulting in basically a duopoly with InMusic aka the Consumer loses), as part of their application to acquire the Serato brand with New Zealand's Commerce Commission.

A boring Namm this year. Not surprising- a lot of gear has come out in the last two years, there really isn't space for new gear. You know Pioneer wasn't going to release a new CDJ or Mixer (maybe a scratch mixer?), due to the the 3ks and A9. The only possibility was a new mixer from Denon, the 1850 is the weak link in that set up.

What's interesting is that Pioneer usually refreshes the CDJ line every 4 years... and this year is 4 years of the 3000s. Maybe it gets announced later this year?

I think it's closer to ten years. The 2k released 2009, the 3k 2020. The CDJ is marketed to clubs, most clubs won't change out their gear like that, that's more hobbyists or gearheads. The clubs only replace when something is broken. Many venues still have the 2ks and the 900xs. That's also why Denon failed. Most club owners will replace gear with the same brand (unless they have reason not to), they weren't about to swap out their whole system for a new one. This is why Pioneer made Opus Quaad, so they could refresh higher end gear quicker without interfering with their club line.@@PDot
