im digging deep online but i dont think it will be cancelled. its just ''simmering'' before full production, so it seems to be they have a foundation for the game but its bare bones, it needs perfecting, thats the impression I am getting. 2025-2026 is the estimate as of right now. ugh . 2024 seems unlikely

I feel this game will be in part a Darth Plagueis origin story. I mean Eclipse is pretty obviously the dark starting to take over the light. Perfect timing in high republic era at least his beginnings no?

yeah take their time, optimize, find and eliminate bugs, perfect the gameplay and GUI. Also since AI will generate back stories of playable characters and plots, the AI needs a lot of training and refining. AI can generate pretty cool things but sometimes absolutely silly concepts. Character AI is one example ill make here, itll just make things up on fly and can zap the enjoyment from the game IMO. so I hope the AI gets the attention it deserves for this eclipse game.
