I think you could do a 4 team expansion from 32 to 36, and have 3 divisions of 6 in each conference, and split each division in half for 12 inter divisions of 3. Expand to San Antonio/Austin (could be a stadium halfway between the 2 while they play games at University of Texas Austin Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium, and the Alamodome in San Antonio.) Expand to Oakland/San Francisco (49ers moved to Santa Clara which is an hour south and in the San Jose area, so SF/Oakland could support a team), play at Oakland Coliseum while a new privately funded stadium is constructed at Pier 32 (parking lot below bay bridge in San Francisco). Or if that is not able to work they will build at Golden Gate Fields in Albany or the Coliseum site in Oakland. The team will be owned by the African American Sports and Entertainment Committee. It will represent both SF, Oakland and the surrounding areas, while the 49ers will still represent the South Bay. 49ers would be forced to drop San Francisco from their name and would be called the Silicon Valley Data Miners (they should at least drop SF from their name if they're an hour away). St. Louis expansion would play at the Dome at America's Center while the proposed National Car Rental field would be privately funded and built. Toronto Expansion would play at Rogers Center until a privately funded new Stadium is constructed. And I forgot about Mexico City, you could swap out one of the first four and save them for a later expansion for this one. Mexico City would play at Aztec Stadium.

Mexico City is not logistically possible with travel times/language/culture barrier. I agree with St. Louis and maybe San Antonio. I think your SF idea is terrible, Santa Clara is Bay Area and niners are an iconic franchise. You can’t replace them with another SF team. I would give San Diego a team instead. Toronto isn’t a bad idea but the nfl might want to stay in America. If that’s the case Birmingham, Portland, Salt Lake City, Columbus all can make cases for expansion cities,

1) Too bad you didn't realize we can't actually see the city names you're considering for a good part of the video. 2) Also, why don't your team names in column S match up with the cities in column M? Order the spreadsheet based on column N then have the team with team names in S match the cities in M. 3) Then, I kept wondering where you were talking about when you kept saying "Tuskin"; then I saw it spelled out and I realized, "He doesn't know it's pronounced 'Too-sahn'" (rhymes with "too gone"). If you want to consider a city for a major sports franchise, at least know HOW TO PRONOUNCE THE CITY'S NAME. 4) As someone from the Midwest, if the best idea you could think of for Omaha was the Tractors, do some research about the Midwest. 5) Write your own intro. Keep it to about 30 seconds MAX. No one wants to hear two and a half minutes of bloated, computer-generated bloviating. 6) I had to turn on the captioning to understand far too much of your speech because of your speaking speed and enunciation.

From Va beach. My area, also called Hampton roads or the "7 cities" is HUGE. Virginia Beach is the largest resort city on the east coast. Sooo many people here now and we need places outside the "norm". Cant ignore our numbers! Definitely a better representation of Va than Richmond

@@crispymaps I think the better analysis would be to look at metro areas and metro area GDP, etc. State lines...as your NFL fan map shows, fans don't know any boundaries when it comes to their teams. And, I've been to Richmond, there is NO WAY an NFL team survives there. From a GDP perspective, the Virginia Beach area have a ~10% larger GDP and MUCH higher density poulation than Richmond metro. And, Greenville, SC is NOT able to host an NFL team, if your data shows some surprises, maybe you should look at more data. But, thanks for your content.

From what I heard 2 cities that would not get a expansion team are Oakland and St Louis based on the fact that they both had teams twice and lost them Oakland with the Raiders and St Louis with The Cardinals and Rams.

Same for the Rams in St.Louis. The Rams went to back-to back SuperBowls in St. Louis and were very popluar until the new owner Stan Kronke made an issue of wanting yet another new stadium, in order to do what he really wanted to do- get the Rams and the Chargers into LA and the stadium he was building. The Cardinals moved because they were a mediocre team, though support in St. Louis was still strong. The owners wanted a new stadium though Busch Stadium was just at 20 years old. They also thought with a better market that they would be a better team. So far the Cardinals have been to the SuperBowl once losing the game, and has otherwise fared no better than they did in St. Louis.

The MSA is generally a fairly poor number. It gets a little better if you use a CSA(when available) but in this instance when you are looking at market size for a tv product you should probably be looking at Nielson tv market numbers. Yep they are better at this than wikipedia. Your very first metric is a poor choice for your "equation".

News flash : the NFL will not be expanding any time soon . Why? Math . The NFL is more likely to see a team move in the next 3 to 5 years but no expansion. The math says : to have a fairly (competitive) distributed league you need equal mumbers. Expand by 2 teams won't work, that would give you 2 , 17 team conferences. 4 two 18 team conferences. 6 gives you 38 and two 19 team conferences. The only # that works mathematically is a 40 team league. Trust me there's no way rhe NFL is voluntarily adding 8 team ( unless someone is willing to pay between 15 to 20 billion dollars for a team. False. There doesn't have to be 40 teams. The league could easily have 36 teams split by 6 teams in 6 divisions. And moving teams generates nowhere near the revenue expansion does. And teams aren't selling for no $15 - $20B. Expansion fees would be close to what other teams recently sold for.

Here are the facts: in August of 2022 the Broncos purchase price was 4.65 billion dollars, in August of 2024 the Washington Commanders were sold for 6.05 billion dollars. Here we are in 2024 , do you think any expansion franchise is going to be sold for less than 6 billion dollars? If so I've got some swamp land outside of Ocala Florida for you.
