It is incredible how accurate they are to the album. And they are jumping around like that. Chaos magick. Saw them like twelve times. They are possibly the greatest band of all time.

I'm so incredibly grateful for all you heroic guys and gals back in the day risking your gear and the inconvenience of having to endure the show holding it to capture the magic. You are last documentarians of an otherwise lost time. It's so hard to recollect what it felt like to live in a day and age where a hundred people in a room didn't mean 100+ cameras in a room.
@headyBC8 ай бұрын
Trust me, bands were a hell of a lot better too, without the knowledge of 100+ cameras on them, and going straight to social media. I genuinely feel sorry for your generation, for being robbed of such a raw and real live music experience.

I just wish the sound guy would be on top of the vocals man they keep dipping...I guess a lot of shows in the 90’s were like that. Still they sound AMAZING
@headyBC8 ай бұрын
93 is just two years into their 10 year run. It’s very early on for them. Their second record hadn’t even been released at the time of this show.
@headyBC8 ай бұрын
@@sammywarren3070it’s not the sound guy. It’s the fact that the filmer is standing right at the front of the stage. All you can hear is guitar straight from the cabinets from that angle. You can barely hear Vern or Sara. It’s just a mess. The PA speakers are behind the filmer. He got a good visual perspective but the sound would have been better if he had shot by the soundboard or at the back of the room.

Unwound .... as a Seattle kid, they were living legends in my mind by the time I first got to see them in 1995. Then when Repetition came out.... there was such an explosion of amazing wildly original bands (drive like jehu, elliott smith, KARP, A Minor Forest, The VSS, Rye Coalition) 1996 was a crazy year for music. Glad people are carrying the torch. These guys never made any real money. Just grinded it out like a machine for ten years.

I'm definitely not an expert, but looks like a HAGSTROM HII. I'm not sure though. The headstock's shape is different: the one used here has this quite unusual shape that was more common on some 1960s Italian guitars design style, like EKO, GALANTI or GRECO... With this same body shape and pickguard there are a couple of TEISCO models too, but with the more usual rounded headstock's shape. So I don't know!
