As you gaze out the window, rifle leaned against the chair you scan your surroundings to ensure nothing followed you.. The feeling of unease unceasing… your heartbeat racing after making it to safety… thoughts begin to race through your head as you process what just happened.. watching someone get torn apart by their neighbor… the sounds of screaming and growling erupting all around you and still lingers in your mind. You calm down a bit once you made sure the coast was clear and the house locked up.. but you cannot help but wonder if it will be enough.. you pace back and forth contemplating on your next move.. your hands trembling through your gloves. You decide to set up a camera in your bedroom and to rest for the fight tomorrow…..

Day 1 They came out of nowhere fortunately i was prepared for this. I have enough food to last me a while. The problem is if i have to go out for anything water,wood for fire, food, etc i don't know whats out there i hear them but hopefully this storm freezes them in place. I'm gonna try to get some sleep

Day 2 The storm passed I went outside to look and I found the infected had in fact be frozen to the point they can't move but they can still make noise so I came across one I pulled my knife out and finished them off. I managed to make some basic weapons spears bow and arrows I got myself a couple of fish and I was grateful for my meal. I think tomorrow I'll raid the town and see what supplies I can get my on. Time to go to sleep.

Day 3 I was able to get into town but sadly it was infested with walkers. I then began carefully exploring as many buildings as I could till dusk. I brought back a good amount of food, cleaning products for home and body, clothes,medicine, fuel for the fire. I also found a hunting store I grabbed a knife, water purification equipment,bow and arrows, guns with plenty of ammo. I guess this is home for the foreseeable future. I have to answer that SOS call but my radio. Tomorrow I'm gonna head back into town for some how to books and radio parts. Time to make sure there aren't walkers around before i get some sleep.

I got the radio working but I got nothing but static so I'm gonna try again tomorrow. I found seed for fruits and vegetables so i will plant them in pots inside and grow as much as i can before moving them outside when spring comes. With a whole town at my disposal for supplies i can hold out for the foreseeable future. I will be able to trade with people when i come across them. So its looking good at moment but that can quickly change. I hope they're alive and well where ever they are.

This gives me Ice Station Z vibes. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s a video game. I have it on both Nintendo Switch and 3DS. It takes place in winter, or an Arctic Island, and you have to survive, and you can go in abandoned cabins and buildings, and stuff.

Got enough supplies to last me for a while, including...firewood. FIREWOOD. Never in my life would I thought I would have to chop wood for any reason, outside of video games but I did it and I kept all my fingers TOO. I have to admit, it's strangely comforting. The fire behind me is a luxury honestly. My trek here I can't even remember how many times I slept, if you can call sleeping in trees, closets, trunks with gun in hand, as sleeping, in cold almost icy conditions. I don't know what kept me going, or why. Ever since I had to...I still look at my ring, got Her's right next to it. She made me promise to keep going, so I am. Now here I am, sitting in a cabin, food, water, and shelter. All that's left is to try this radio out. Maybe I can get someone. Maybe another survivor, maybe the military. Maybe just static, would be fitting. Well, wish me luck me, Let's see if we can still reach out in the world." *Turns on radio, picks up transmitter. presses transmit button* "Hello! This is *static* Is anyone receiving this? Over"
