Because why not? Thanks for your work ❤ sorry for the bad grammar i think, and other things, english is not my mother tongue. This is our last day on earth. I've been telling myself that for a long time to try to prepare for our disappearance. its not working. Because when I look at him, as he sits in the passenger seat, all I see is my reason for living. We love each other. really strongly. more than I can imagine. I always thought that if this kind of apocalypse took place, I would kill myself in the first hours. Like this, i will not suffer too much. Well, turns out thats not so easy. When he held my hand feverishly, when we ran through the crowded alleys, chased by these things... strangely I only thought of living. i had to. For him. We did a lot for surviving.. killing, lying, ... a lot of things that I dont want to remember right now. we really love each other, you know? ... and it's in silence that we look in front of us, the desperate and rotten hands of the undeads trying to reach us behind our car's window. It's busted. That fucking car is busted. i pushed the engine too hard, while we were stuck in the mud, in the middle of nowhere. Now the heavy rain hitting the car is extinguishing the smoking engine. I look at the steam evaporate with a certain sense of sadness... but him? he doesn't blame me... we haven't slept for days, we just run. Trying to survive. being scared. He doesnt want to die of course, i see it in his piercing eyes that always made me melt. But i also can see that he has no hope left to fuel him ro continue. we are going to die, it is an observation that we both made in silence. but... we are serene. no crying, no screaming... just... surrender and acceptance. He takes me in his arms, and I do the same, my hands embracing his body... warm, his heart beating slowly but strongly. i wish i could say something, but it gets stuck in my throat. A knot of remorse and guilt prevents me from telling him how much I love him. more than anything else. I'm sure I'll still love him, even when this world has finished burning, and I'm just ashes in the wind. They try to open the doors. some of them manage to move the handles, as if they had a residue of their human consciousness. He holds me tighter. I do it too. I close my eyes, listening only to the rain and the sound of his heart. "Its going to be okay.." he says, murmuring it into my ear. Im holding my tears. Sure. Its going to be okay. I'm with him. Even eaten alive... i'm sure to be with him in my next try.
