these girls were EVERYTHING one by one unique, remembered them ruuning from school to see style with elsa, with Linda working it to the max!! used to buy all the vogue covers she was in sometimes 3-4 same month different editions and with Linda looking once blond, once red haired, sometimes tomboy, sometimes vamp , I mean the woman was THE FASHION CHAMELEON
@MsNiceNic7 жыл бұрын
I completely agree with you. She has ALWAYS been my favorite of the UberModels. She truly is The Ambassador of the Supermodels, as she was respectfully crowned. I became a "fashionista fan" because of her - the only one that fascinated me enough to study her career. When I saw the great Lauren Hutton pay Linda such a high compliment....I KNEW Linda was unique. I respect "The Big Five" of course....but Linda is Queen ALL by herself!!!

This film shaped my idea of what the fashion industry and New York City was like.
I love this madness, and I love how Mizrahi thought of the scrim material and let the audience see what's happening backstage. It was weird and almost absurd at first, but it really made the show come alive in so many ways. I was kinda sad Christy Turlington wasn't on this the show, and only appeared on a short clip during the interview. Regardless, this has been one of the best fashion documentaries over the years. I would also recommend to watch "Catwalk" featuring Christy Turlington. It's still my favorite documentary from the 90s Supermodel era.

@cbodessia5 жыл бұрын
If you've seen the documentary Catwalk from 1995, there's also a scene where Christy is particularly nasty to Veronica. So I think there was probably a lot of nastiness between the haves (Naomi, Linda, Christy, Cindy, Claudia, Kate) and the have-nots (Veronica, Nadege, Beverly, Tyra, Niki)

I was horrified to read what happened to Linda Evangelista. I remember watching Isaac's show when it came out, one of the best docs I've seen. Such amazing women on the runway, and Linda was and is spectacularly beautiful. I hope she wins her lawsuit, and really admire her for letting others know the dangers of ice sculpting. Isaac Mizrahi is a genius.

I never have been a fashionista. So, my commentary is straight sensation. To watch Linda E. move down the runway in that fur hat; the expression on her face, that's my idea of what a fashion should display. I also notice (I can only really identify clearly three of them) Naomi C., and Kate M.s facial expressions. They are all different! You can call me simple (or just not call me home to dinner, as my mother used to do, but I digress), but what appears to be a simple, unaffected, casual facial expression, and walk (check out the heels on Kate Moss's shoes in the beginning - thoses shoes needed a glide path and runway lights!) is the result of discipline. Thank you, ladies... oh, and the gentlemen whose ideas made these designs reality. And of course the sempstresses, for their unmatched brilliance in assembling the work.
