The Winchester is brilliant. With the right upgrades, it can still be useful at range on authentic too. Extended marksman barrel, Mk II (not Mk II S) suppressor, high speed mag. You still need match ammo above 300m, but there's no reason to carry subsonics or soft points with it, so no problem. The Erma seems pretty good too. Not sure how much I'll use it because I do like a scope, but I'm glad they've given us something a bit different.

I bought this game for the campaign mode. We've had what....1 new map for the campaign mode? I love the game but I was hoping for more new maps by now. Either way, always appreciate the content. Respects.

4:58 Didn’t know that 150 hp was the damage threshold for one-shotting any enemy in the game no matter where the bullet hits their body. That’s something to keep in mind.

Not ANY enemy. Any regular soldiers. Jagers are 225hp.

5:00 It’s a fairly old vid, so maybe you know by now, but effective range matters as well. Damage drop off can force you into body or head shots. A kar98k, jacked up with damage, could require 2 shots where an m1903 would only need 1 purely because the m1903 has a super high effective range. Ghost Gamer has a good write up on it.

You don't really need one shot killers. Aiming at the heart / lungs / head also kills with just one shot. So it's better to have a high muzzle velocity. Less bullet drop, so easier aiming.

I agree, however its nice to have that 1 shot kill option. Its adds a bit more realism. After all a sniper round to the arm or foot is going to put anyone out of action.

I love how I go to loadout and customization to try to access the new weapons and none of them are showing up. The only weapon I have showing is the PPSH and DL Carbine. Furthermore, I have the DLC season 1 pass. So...????

I know this is an old video but I've been playing SE5 (and 4) lately and still not bought any season pass or DLC that costs any money. What a rip off to charge as much as they do. I'd love to use the Win 1885 and Erma but not for a tenner. Cheers for the vid mate

Campaign map coming next, I think. I've heard the Ithaca 37 shotgun will be in season pass 2, but no idea how reliable that is. Same for the Mauser M712.

There has been roughly 6 weeks between Landing Force, Concealed Target, and Up Close and Personal. So i would guess another 6 weeks from Up Close and Personal. So my guess would be early December.

I finally figured out what i dislike about this game. Its the feel. In sniper elite 4 you hit someone and you get an awesome gun sound (whether it be suppressed or not) followed by a magnificent shot of the bullet flying trough the sky and then ending with an extremely satisfying visual and sound of your victims bone breaking and organs exploding. (God if only we had dismemberment) Crouch running (whilst maybe not balanced) is extremely fun to use as its makes you feel that much more sneaky and breeki Meanwhile in sniper elite 5 Kill cams are extremely hard to follow because instead of bones and organs we get muscle and veins and all sorts of other shite that doesn’t react to being shot (headshots in particular are dumped down because now instead of the brain wiggling and moving it stays completely still not even reacting to just being hit by a bullet) The sounds of the sniper rifle are bad and horrible when suppressed You cant crouch run and enemy’s are even dumber in sniper elite 5 Knocking out enemy’s is useless Maps are extremely restrictive Tanks are super annoying to deal with (why they didn’t do it like sniper elite 3 like the tiger level where the crew would get out when you disabled the tank or the commander will pop open his hatch and look around with his head out is beyond me) And they didn’t even add dismemberment All things considered im very disappointed in this sniper elite because they barely added new things that are interesting or fun (in fact they took most away) and they couldn’t even nail the things that they did amazingly in the other games.

Saying crouch running is unbalanced when aim assist, tags, radar, awareness icons and wall hax being a thing now is an odd thing to say since crouch running doesn't play the game for you. Just increase tbe audio range, visibility range and disable while carrying heavy weapons/temporary ones and crouch running will fine even though it was already in 4.

I agree with what you say here. I played SE4 endlessly. but I have barely gone back to SE5 after grinding through the missions. The enemies behaviour is either preternaturally fast or completely dumb. SE5 has ruined the francise for me and now I have found Hell Let Loose I doubt I will be going back

I certainly agree with your Tiger Tank comment, I really like the way we had to immobilise it, that would work even better now with the armour piercing rounds. Then the crew gets out, why on earth we haven't gone back to that yet I don't know. You are right that knocking out enemies is pretty pointless, but you don't need to do if you don't want. One good thing about knocking out enemies is the non lethal takedown from a bush is very quick so you are less likely to get spotted by another enemy when you do it. The maps can be annoying like when you cant climb over a simple low wall but over all I don't mind the maps. As for not crouch running, I honestly don't mind it, especially seeing as how easy SE5 is anyway, adding crouch run would make it even easier.

Its weird how they do this stuff.. personally I feel like there should be 2 new story maps and 4-5 new weapons, per pack to make it worth the price. Cosmetics aren't something that I particularly care about with this game and should just be thrown in whenever, for free.

The DLC pacs are inflated to make the season pass seem worth it. None of it is worth it, not even the game. This is a $25 game with $25 seasons pass. The DLC is worth about $4 for non-map and $8 for map releases. When compared to all the skins and content you got for the SE4 releases this is just a money grab so that idiot of a ceo and his brother can buy horses.
