Because divorce is a thing and if he buys you a car. Yes, he bought you a car for a gift, but he could also put that on his taxes, saying that it was a gift. It was a ride off. And once you can't pay for that car, he gets to repossess it, so the best thing is for her to buy the car. He was smart and so was she if you once I want to keep on spoiling you, then you could do that, but you're not smart with it. I'm just saying.

There is no way, and I mean NO WAY, the fire department would go on record and say the fire was caused by an electrical repair. No wonder the plaintiff didn't have the report that said as much. Total nonsense by the plaintiff and she should be embarrased for even suggesting it.

Overheating actually can cause a car fire, he’s lying through his teeth about that. If he made a mistake during the repairs or used a faulty part, and the car still had the overheating problem, it absolutely could have caused the fire. She would need evidence of what caused the fire though for sure in order to prove it was him.

I cannot say for sure if overheating can cause a fire...But I have had 2 cars overheat...And never a fire. Well, 3 if I count my sons car...A hose cracked and all the coolant ran out. I hate new cars that do not have a gauge...You can't see the temp going up. You don't know there is a problem until the red lights go off

Cars are designed so they don’t catch fire due to overheating. The only scenario I can imagine is that the engine has so much caked on dirt and grease to cause a fire when the car was overheated. I don’t think she said the car was overheating when it caught fire. Just saying…

Old fuel lines, flammable liquids caked on it… my uncle is a firefighter and has said that it’s a common cause of car fires. She did say it was electrical according to the fire marshall but it was hearsay, and we don’t known if that even came from the fire marshal tbh

My parent’s 1960’s car caught on fire with my mom, and three of us kids were in it. Thankfully the military police were called, and must’ve been nearby. They put out the fire with a fire extinguisher. My dad had just bought the car, and I never found out what caused the fire.

He did say he change two crankshaft. The fuel rails would have to be removed to do those campshafts. Could be a leaking fuel rail that cause the fire

I ha e been working on cars for many years. Since i was 8 helping my dad. Im 47 now. A month later its not the fault of the mechanic. If a wire was pinched or damaged, you would normally see that right away. The only thing i wpuld imagine is the fuel lines were disconnected to remove the intake to get to valve covers to remove timing cover, water pump and so on. The fuel lines could have worked loose from lack of torque or locking them down. THATS the only reason this job would have been the cause a month later.

Anyone that buys a 12 year old Audi is a damn fool. Used Audis are a nightmare and they’re known for electrical issues. This mechanic has absolutely nothing to do with it. If you have full coverage then let insurance deal with it. If you’re too cheap to pay for that coverage then that’s on the owner of the car. Moral of the story is don’t buy a cheap Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Range Rover etc.

This is why you MUST vet your mechanic. Modern cars have VERY high pressure fuel systems. Fuel is almost always fed from the top of the engine. Moderate engine maintenance will often require removal of some of the fuel delivery system. If it's not installed 100% correctly, it will leak fuel all over that hot engine. The pressure will likely cause it to spray all over the place. Electricity may have started this fire, but I'd bet my pets fuel is what was burning.

Using a fire extinguisher on an engine fire is a stupid thing to do, engine fires burn at over 2000 degrees, a standard for extinguisher will not work on metal fires. I was driving home one day and a car was on fire at a repair shop, no one noticed, I called 911, someone ran out, ran back into the shop and ran out with a fire extinguisher, I told him to not do that and the fire department was on the way, he rolled his eyes and mumbled something, I waited to file the report, when the fire department got there he told him the exact same thing.

Audis are nice cars but they are famous for having electrical problems. I owned a TT and spend hours/days trying to fix them. Unless you're married to a mechanic I would recommend avoiding them at all costs, especially the older ones.

Water pump is non-electrical. It is a mechanical pump, turned by a belt. Thermostat uses a mechanical mechanism to open close valves. Also non-electrical. If she was told it was something electrical, that would actually point away from either mechanical device.

He did two camshaft in a 2000 Audi the fuel rails site onto the intake on the side he would have to remove that and wires. Cause of fire probably leaking fuel rail that ran down to the downpipes

The problem is, it's an Audi. There's no way the work he done caused this. Audi's and other German cars have electrical issues. Iam a mechanic and i know this. Electrical issues are not the same as heating issues.
