Feels so weird to see you that excited about clubbing! I'm not even 21 yet (I'm gonna be in a few months), and I've been clubbing since almost 3 years now (Legal age is 18 where I live). It's fun but it's not as exciting after all this time!

In my country we can go clubbing at 16 and clubbing starts after 1am and ends when morning starts...

In the US it's legal at 18, but you can't drink until you're 21.

Well in the US it depends on which club. Some are 21 over only. And some are 18 and over, but 21+ welcome and are able to drinks.

me too! I started going to clubs at 15, now I'm 28 and already bored me. I feel so pathetic to be 21 and excited about nightlife and drinking alcochol.

In most provinces in Canada you have to be 19 to go to a bar or legally drink, but in Manitoba the legal drinking age is 18! Also the bars can legally stay open until 2AM (last call is at 2 AM, but they have to have all alcohol and alcohol glasses/bottles put away and away from customers by 2:45 AM). There is the exception on New Years Eve though where same rules apply just last call is 3 AM. Which sucks because you usually only get a few hours to drink :(.

francesca locatelli Its usually pretty hot. Best thing to do is to look at weather reports from the last few years around the time you will be there to get a better idea of what the weather is usually like! I always have NY set on my phone to update me on the weather each week!

francesca locatelli It's usually hot this time of year. The heat is not the problem it's the humidity that sucks. The humidity can make the weather hotter than it really is. I recommend that you check your app like MissCofia33 said before you come here. And I'd also suggest you search free facilities where there is air conditioning like libraries and such.The New York Public Library across Bryant Park is my fav. There was a massive heat wave that was all over the eastern seaboard and got to some people that caused them to get heat strokes so be careful.

I also forgot to tell you that if you are going to be here for a week or more and plan to use the trains a lot that you buy the weekly or monthly Metrocards. A Metrocard is a dollar on top of the fare you want to pay for (I assume you don't have one). I think the weekly is close to $30 and you can swipe it as many times during that week before it expires. If you're staying for a month then get a monthly Metrocard. It's $112 and you can swipe it as many times as you want during the month. If you keep buying the the weekly for the month you'll spend more money. If you don't plan on using the train or bus a lot you can get the $4.50 one which will pay for a trip to your destination and back.

I am from Germany and was clubbing when I was 15 for the first time... It's legal in some Clubs with 16 and some clubs with 18. I turn 21 in a few weeks and even though it doesn't give me any further benefits here I am still very excited :) and the part with your little sister being so happy and grateful about her presents is adorable.
