The way Robin says “Outrageous” is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen. I intend to make it my entire personality.

Frankie Howard and Hugh Paddick, a match made in heaven . I love this film for all its corny jokes, camp acting and hilarious story line. Love the other films in the series too♥️

Out of the 3 movies from the "UP" series, this is by far my favourite. The Robin Hood and his band of men scenes being the best scenes, this was hilarious back when I saw it as a kid and it's still just as funny. Being a fan of the great Hugh Paddick, I was only ever used to listening to his voice on the radio, so to see him actually acting was such a treat, and even now he brings a big smile to my face. I always felt that this brilliant actor was never on tv enough, I would have loved to have seen him in other films. I do remember seeing him briefly in an episode of Up Pompei and later in an episode of BlackAdder along with Kenneth Connor. Sadly all these comedy greats have left us, but their work will always speak for it's self and prove what a talent they all were. I'll take these "old timers" any day over the "so-called" comedy talents we are sadly lumbered with today.

The Robin Hood sequences are, in my opinion, the funniest thing ever captured on film. Hugh Paddick as Robin and Rita Webb as Marian are hysterical and perfectly cast, and I wish there'd been a spin-off film or TV series continuing the adventures of them and the Merry Men.

The first soldier that got shot in the back is John Gorman who, along with Roger McGough and Paul McCartney’s brother Mike, was a member of comedy music group The Scaffold. He was also a regular on Tiswas in the late 70s.
