Instead of wire modifier (modifiers arent very performant in realtime) You could set object display mode to wire in object settings.

to fix the bug at 14:22, you must set the character's maximum sloap in physics to 45° (90° is a very high number for this option, and this bug occurs)

@@FictitiousCtrlGames hey man my jump worked the first time but now it isnt, i followed instructions to a T. key down then set to space, added jump from physics>character>jump, connected if pressed to condition, selected the cube and boom, nothing.

I havent used upbge in quite a while. In unity you just set the collider height. perhaps try using an empty as the parent of your objects. So, it should go, -Empty -Collider Object. -Armature. Make sure the armature isn't parented to the collider object. Only change the scale of the collider object. Not the armature.

Ty, I managed to get it to work quite well, but I set up the head to be the look, instead of head and body, like sitting in a vehicle, wouldn't want the body to move with mouse. The only thing I can't work out is how to get my mouse to snap back to centre of screen facing the same way as the body again. I set it up so that I have to press right mouse to enable mouselook. :)

Ok, I've set up my player and I have mouselook for a head, but only if I press right mouse button too, so the player can move around and it's literally the head that does the looking, without the body changing orientation. So can you help please anyone? How do I get the camera to snap back to the centre of the screen if I release the right mouse button? I've been trying but I can't work it out. I thought about it as something like getting the x and y rotation of the camera and then resetting it to whatever it was before I pressed right mouse and dragged around, but as I say, I can't get that to work as I can't see how to get the rotation factors and then to set both of them back.

make sure you selected the cam first then the cube, after press ctrl+p and select from the options that pop up "object". then try again. hope thats it

@@friskyfreebe Thankyou but cam is already parented to cube-body, so I can move around using WASD + QE. That isn't the solution, sorry.

Which direction on the axis is your character facing? It might have something to do with that.

So iv tryed using the globaldict to make int proporties presist across diffrent scenes, but it dosnt work no matter i try. Iv follow many tutorials exactly, but in the newest vertion of upbge it just dose not work. I tryed using logic nodes to call the variable in one scene fromthe object, save it to a JSON file and tryed saving it to globaldict as well, but when i try to call the saved variable in another scene the console says somthing like it refuses to import the saved variable to scene with out exception. Im so lost. There must be a new way. Please iv asked so many people but they all just ghost me or talk crap. I would very much a vido showing how you would do this. Having variables sent and read in other scenes is absolutely necessary to make any decent game.
