I came as a caregiver way back 2008 i left my kids back home and after many years (2015 years) when my kids join me backlog pa. The life is not hard ang ganda ng canada dami opportunities ngayon it sucks na ...mga international students dito noon just come to study and most of them still wanted to go back home. Nasasala pero ngayon khit sino nlng.

@davidpaoloruiz883818 сағат бұрын
i think they just aligned it with the SOWP of international students wherein you are required to have a masteral degree to bring your spouse in Canada. Masteral or post grad students usually lands a better job offer or TEER 0 and 1 employments

It was supposed to removed because hundreds of thousands of students come to Canada getting their family and husbands or wife automatic get work permit. What a shame for residents and Canadians!
@ytwatcher60209 сағат бұрын
Agree, and some even bring their children. I mean, WTF you're supposed to study and then bring your entire family? And then complain that you can't get a job to support them? I know some and met some so I know what I'm saying when I say some are even blaming the government for just allowing 20 hours of work! The entitlement!

@@ytwatcher6020 As I work permit holder and spouse of an International Student. I saw some of them bringing their 2-3 children and starts to complain that they cannot live properly because the prices are too high. Most of the student that complain are most likely to have children with them. They are suppose to study and not bring their children with them.

ung mga engineers and architects jan. chance nyo na. Being IS with masteral qualifications is amazing in Canada. Choose long established institutions. Once Trudot is offically out and and Trump settled his *ss in WH - Alberta plans on building more pipes. I heard some provinces will be open to finally build more houses. Isn't it more amazing to sign and seal drawings with your name under an official Canadian License? 😉😊

Yes, I'm a license Professional Engineer in Canada over ten years now been doing engineering also in the Philippines back in 90's and early 2000's and now in Canada, I agree engineering profession is good in Canada but the steps to get licensed is very tough Ive been there, good luck to Pinoy Engineers seeking this path.

It needs to be removed. If you're an international student, you're supposed to study. If you want to bring anyone else then you should be able to support them. And it's only fair wjy? When you come here to migrate, you will be required to have proof of funds, so you can show that you will not be a burden to Canada if you don't get a job. And you're already a permanent resident! So, the government needs to stop giving IS work permits. I'm not against giving IS points so they can later migrate, but they need to do it outside of Canada like everyone else. They need to go through the same stringent process and not jump the line.

Im not against PGWP, but they need to be processed like other migrants. They need to file outside of Canada. Why? So they don't compete in housing, in jobs, healtcare regardless wether theyre paying for it themselves with permanent residents and citizens, until they themselves are granted the same privilege of being a permanent resident.
@Marj_Lp8883 сағат бұрын
Exactly right
@jadeferraris82292 сағат бұрын
PGWP is given to students.
@ytwatcher60202 сағат бұрын
@jadeferraris8229 And why not? So there's one rule for them and not the others? If this is encouraged, what's to stop others from doing the same? There should be no path to PR for international students within Canada. Everyone who wants to migrate should be processed outside of Canada.
@jadeferraris82292 сағат бұрын
@ nabasa mo ba sinabi ko? Madalas within 24 hours pwede na magwork ang mga nagapply ng PGWP. And sa sinasabi mong dapat walang pathway ang mga students for PR, students are investing time and money to actually learn canadian system, economy and business environment. Pano ho ba kayo naPR?
@ytwatcher6020Сағат бұрын
@jadeferraris8229 Nope, they were investing time and money to study in Canada. That's their declaration when they applied for the student visa. So Canada does not owe them a PR. They're being given the privilege to study in Canada. Let's make that clear. I got my PR by applying as a legal migrants, no shortcut, we went through the long process and paid the application for permanent resident fee, even the landing fee, etc. If you apply to study, then that's your path study, then go back. If you want to migrate, then apply as a migrant.

May i ask you advise on the situation of my daughter. She applied for PGWP last June but has not been approved to date. She will be applying for PR tru AIP when it opens this month: - does she need to wait for the PGWP before applying for PR or can she proceed without PGWP? - As IS, she took Business Management but she's now working in healthcare as Nursing Assistant (she graduated Practical Nursing in the Phils). Is she considered in the shortage job profession even if she took up a non-healthcare course? - will her partner on SOWP be affected if this new policy will be promulgated?
@HelloHello-cr4yk11 сағат бұрын
In order for her to get qualified for pr, she must be working related to her course of study. If she is now working to healthcare she must supposed to finish study for healthcare course.
@Cha-lc2mn10 сағат бұрын
Practical nursing is in demand in the healthcare field right now. Might as well contact the college of nursing here & ask them if her studies will be credited. If yes maybe they can allow her to challenge the exam. If she gets her license as a PN, then it’s better to apply in a government facility or hospital. If she gets hired then it would be easier to get a PR.
