Honestly I think it would be kind of fun to make an asymmetrical earring set where one of the earrings has the heart on the bottom and the other has the heart on the top! Kind of a fun a different idea. Thanks for the vid!❤

Interesting idea! I had a coworker once who at Christmas and would wear one red and one green shoe. Thanks Kadey!

Could you add a heart dangle like a charm near the toggle on the bracelet? Really cute designs!
@avantejewelry
@avantejewelry Жыл бұрын
Maybe. It’s a small toggle. So I’d have to make sure the bar would still go through the ring. I’m still thinking about trying one with hearts in the bracelet. I just ran out of time that day. Thanks Kimmie!

I enjoy watching you create. I loved your idea of salt cellar for holding beads do much I had to buy a couple while out yesterday. Even a cut glass tiny vase for headpins. Question. What are some brands or types of jewelry I shouldn't take apart . Thanks
@avantejewelry
@avantejewelry 11 ай бұрын
Wonderful! I really enjoy them over my "typical" bead holders. They make it more fun! (If that's possible). I wouldn't take apart most "name brand" jewelry unless it's broken. There's too many to mention. Vintage unmarked, vintage japan, modern unmarked, (Paparazzi is fair game) etc. is what I typically work with. Thanks for asking Nicole!

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I just will just take my time and look thru them. I also relate to when you ask for Mark's opinion. I have my own I do the same thing.

I need some ideas about used jewelry When you get that jewelry,what do you with the beads? What I need suggestions with is its used,dirty,perfume scents. How do you clean them?
@avantejewelry
@avantejewelry Ай бұрын
I really don’t have an issue with that. A damp wipe at most for some things. I always replace the ear wires. Where are you purchasing your jewelry? If you’re buying it in large lots, unseen, off the Internet, you’re probably getting the bottom of the barrel when it comes to cleanliness and or scent as you say. Since I buy most of my jewelry locally, I’m able to inspect it and smell it if necessary before I purchase it. Otherwise, a damp wipe for most items. Sometimes I soak vintage plastic beads if I need to. And a jewelry polishing cloth for metal. I hope that helps. Sorry you’re having that experience.

I just bought some broken jewelry. The metals stained the white glass beads. Is there a way to remove the stain without damaging the bead? A simple sanitizing cloth didn't do anything . Thanks!
@avantejewelry
@avantejewelry 11 күн бұрын
As long as they’re actually white glass and not “coated” with White coloring, you can try some water with a little bit of vinegar and let them soak for a few hours. Check them and if it hasn’t helped, tried it for a little longer, but I wouldn’t leave them overnight. I would check them periodically. Sorry to hear that’s your situation. Hopefully you can get the stains out. I’ve actually never had this happen to beads that I’ve purchased to upcycle.

@avantejewelry I will give it a try! I knew you'd have an idea what to do. Thank you! I purchased a couple of sandwich baggies full from an Etsy seller and I am in awe of how many beads there are! Now I wish the ideas would come to me.

Where do you all your necklaces?
@avantejewelry
@avantejewelry Жыл бұрын
Are you asking where do I get all of my necklaces? If that’s the question, all over the place. Church sales, garage sales, thrift stores, and I’ve bought them direct from the owners of the vintage jewelry. Hope that helps and thanks Bridget for asking!
