I'm so glad you're showing how what to do when you get down to the point. I now know, just so the fabric together half an inch overlapping! Thanks

Very nice! And I love your machine. The old metal workhorses are the best.

Thank you so much for these instructions. I was looking to make these type of clothes about a year ago. It must have been just before you started sharing these videos. I couldn’t find any videos for the clothes I wanted so gave up. I started looking again a few days ago and found your videos so I’m really happy about this. It’s so kind of you to share your amazing talent in this way. I’m going to be having a go at making some clothes very soon 😀💕

I noticed that very few share their techniques and most charge for them on Etsy. Its incredible but the tutorials are often upwards of $35.00 even. I'm so glad you are going to give it a go. This type of sewing is much easier than pattern sewing in my opinion.

Hi Sherry, I would love to see a video this style with fabric instead of the shirts, Thank you
@SherryJonesDesigns11 ай бұрын
That is a great idea! Maybe soon I'll do one with vintage summer sheets and light weight top for spring. If you are wishing to use fabric for the bottom, basically you would need a rectangle the length and depth of the shirts I was using.

Hello Sherry. New subscriber❤️ I find this process so amazing. Your snoting cat, lol😅. I couldn't hear him but gave me a giggle.

Hi Donna! So glad to see you here! Thank you for subscribing and I'm glad you liked my snoring cat!

Lovely Dress! And please keep up doing the great videos ❤ BTW, it’s not fair to talk about your snoring companion without introducing him properly! So can he have a segment in your next video? Would love to see him. My girl cats have sleeping spots all over my workroom, I think most sewers have pet sewing companions. Have a great day 🎉
@SherryJonesDesigns Жыл бұрын
Okay, I will see if I can include a segment with him in it. He is a large long haired absolutely adorable cat. I think you are right that sewist tend to have cats. I keep mine out of my sewing room only because I sell but they have the rest of the house. I'm so glad you have cats and that you like to sew! Thank you for encouraging me and watching my videos!

Hi Sherry, I can see why this is popular! For the top, do you get any issues with stretching, from the weight of the skirt section hanging off it? I'm going to try this with a shirt I have that was cool when I was younger, but feels too tight and skimpy now.
@SherryJonesDesigns8 ай бұрын
You do have to keep in mind the weight being added to the top. If I have a very light weight top, I try and use light weight lower fabrics.

Great video and super cute dress. Do you go back and finish the seams on the inside?
@SherryJonesDesigns Жыл бұрын
No, they are left just like when a person sews with patterns. Thank you for asking!

I sometimes wonder about that when I'm doing my clothes. About the underside and all the fraying
