Giving new life to old clothes is a great way to be less of a prick to mother earth. It's cool that there are so many new sustainable and organic brands out there, but what's even cooler is using up what we already have instead of it ending up in landfills. Hopefully some of these thrift flips and upcycled clothes can give you some inspiration!

besties if u can't be bothered to read the instructions but u wanna dye stuff, DON'T FORGET SALT! Salt is a fixative for the dye, and without it the dye may wash out or be faint which no one wants!!

Protip for making clothing bigger: If it has pockets, cut them out for fabric. I got a deal on a pair of secondhand pants that didn't fit. I used the pockets for extra fabric to put in a waist gusset

Pro tip for fraying denim edges: scuff a razor or exacto knife lightly to your edges about a quater to half inch up then scrub edges with a brush. (dish, veggie, scour/cleaning, boars hair or nylon bristle hair brushes will all work for this) You get a great fray w/ less tedious work effort. 😁

not really, when you are juststarting out i suggest making some simple pouches to practice on so you don't ruin your clothing lol. Also get comfortable taking apart and putting the machine back together because knots like to form and get caught in the inside of the machine and jam it, so you'll need to fish em out.
