A very nicely scenic model railroad. I remember the area from trips in the past. That is what you want. Having people saying, "Hey, I know that place!" A couple suggestions to add to your excellent scenery. The off road bikers would cut a trail from the wash up the embankment towards the roadhouse. You could probably simulate one getting some air off the top of the embankment using a small piece of fiber optic. The next time you see a military convoy on the road, study the disbursement of the vehicles in the convoy. You will see the Army mixes up the vehicles in the convoy. They do that for bridges. A string of the same size heavy weight vehicles going across a bridge can cause harmonics. That can cause damage to the bridge and cause a vehicle to lose control. Usually the lead vehicle is a jeep or hummer with some signage and yellow flashing lights. You doing good so far!

Beautiful work on the Morman Rock / Cajon Pass area. You still need the Denny's in Mojave. It's all looking great. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome scenery Kory. The added details of the deer, campers, bikers, etc makes the everything stand out. I’ve never been to the Mojave area but from photos I’ve seen, your scenery is on point. Great work with everything. Anthony

Korey, congrats on reaching 5000 subscribers! I look forward to your upcoming contest. And, wow, your Cajon Pass module really rocks! You captured the true "feel" of the rugged, rocky scenery in the pass. I know because I drive my semi truck through Cajon Pass several times every year. You built a masterpiece! I applaud your superior modeling skills. Now if you would only scratchbuild a Carl's Jr. to install on your Mojave town module! That would make it complete and prototypical. It's the only major fast-food burger chain missing from your module that actually exists in the real town. Keep up your amazing work, Korey, and happy rails to you! -from Tom Pilling

The growth of your channel is a reward for the fine modeling you've been doing. I spent a few years working and living in Death Valley National Park. Your layout has been a chance to revisit my travels during that time. From the video I don't see all that much wrong with the Mojave portion of the layout. The Mojave region is more barren and sparse than Cajon and that's what I see in the contrast between the two areas of the layout. Seems to me the corner which you're still working on can be an area for a transition. and the dry wash can work as a boundary between the two areas.

Hi Kory, wow! That recent modular with the Mormon Rocks and the creek, you really captured the area! And isn’t that always the case, as we learn and improve our skills, we want to go back to previous areas and re do them. But...to be perfectly frank, that shouldn’t be too big a deal in your case. The Mojave area is an entity onto itself. So it’s just the blending of the “ borders “ that need to be refined. Like I say before, your layout is very unique and you should be very proud of it. You are super dedicated to your hobby and it shows. Congratulations on your, now, over 5000 subs. You deserve it. I look forward to your contest but more so to further updates. Oh.... nice army by the way. See ya next time.

I really enjoyed this update, your kitbashing skills kick butt and will get even better over time. What I enjoy the most on your layout is the animation of the electric gates, the police car with the lights flashing,etc.. Those switches in the yard are the only real issue hurting the realism, put those switch boxes under the layout and it would be perfect. I have a idea how to make it even more realistic. How about adding a"hotbox detector"?,it would count the axles too, just like the prototype.
