The changes to the warden warrant an outrage of any players who heavily invested in warden (myself included) since the last change to piercing cold which made warden viable. I play warden in a variety of content except pvp. This includes vetTrial Healing, vetTrial and Dungeon Tanking, and vet Trial DD, and solo arena and solo overland (including solo clearing world events and bosses) The change done to piercing cold, while grievous, as this takes away from the frost mage identity we were so happy with, is not as detrimental as it looks. An 8% damage done across the board will open up avenues for other builds for the warden rather than bottlenecking them into a frost staff setup as kaan mentioned. Its the change to Arctic Blast which really has me upset. Taking away a class' burst heal only serves to help balance it for pvp, which i have no clue on. In all other content though, this just straight up hurts the warden, especially in solo. What on earth were they thinking...

That's why there are 2 morphs..lol who runs artic in pve? Polar winds usually used...but makes artic more useful in pvp. They finally got artic right

@@jamesrigsby780 its a strong aoe dot in pve with very high chance to apply chilled, which is boosted on warden, and it acts as a burst heal. Its a staple skill in pve. Polar Wind is the warden tank burst heal.

It was necessary. No buff with spell or weapon dmg. Every class has this. And they must buff the necro would be cool if they change one ulti to gain an army not only 4 bombs with corpes.

Abilities like Soul Teather and Shocking Syphon sit on corpses for several seconds so it's likely ia universal tick for the set rather than the skills damage/healing per second ticks.

Ohh yeah I didn't even think of that, could be that way. But even then, siphon ticks every 0.666s iirc, so that wouldn't be able to make full use of the set still, although it's a nice thought if it will be working that way

Man, this Warden change is kinda removing Ice Staff as a dps weapon as a whole. It no longer has a place in Warden unless you run Frostbite and its quite restrictive if Ice Staff only use is on this one set or just run it as a tank. On the other hand, its a huge damage increase for everything else, kinda excited to test out Aeries Cry on it since it buffs up animal companion skills and hopefully including the bear. This was bound to happen at some point since that skill tree was meant to be tanking, but I still have no idea why they wouldnt include a taunt ability in that skill tree when its clearly what it lacks from a tanking perspective.

I think most of us will have more ink than we need pretty soon. Once all old characters are set up and we have played around with the system for a while, the amount of ink we get from random drops will probably more than cover the occasional changes and new characters.

Higher stages of vampire increase resource cost of abilities, and increase fire damage taken. So if you think about it, we'll still get 10% mitigation without it being nullified by too much fire damage and resource costs, while nightblades will be required to be in stage 2 still utilizing attacking from shadows passive.

I just use the stamina tenticles on my magicka arcanist. It gives the ink debuff and doesnt consume crux. Having to add a heal to my back bar kind of sucks if tenticles only works when it hits something. Tenticles being our main passive heal means stamina is probably there to stay.

_Loove_ most of the necro changes currently proposed, but I'm _definitely_ going to miss spamming Ulti Gen outside of combat if that goes live 😭 Meanwhile, I've had a chance to sleep on the proposed Piercing Cold changes for Warden. Honestly, I can live with a 4% damage nerf for ice staff so that Wardens can use _any_ weapon that they want. The duration-to-cooldown ratio on Piercing Cold feels clunky, though. I feel like a cooldown of 4 seconds, with a duration of 6-8 seconds for the 8% damage buff would be more realistic to maintain 100% uptime. Actually, I'm wondering if my no-master's staff build might deal _more_ damage than before, if I use a Lightning or _Fire_ staff? 🤔 I'm definitely going to be testing things out to see what works best.

Invested heavily into my warden only to have it changed heavily like this, with its burst heal removed. Im thinking of solutions but i am not liking them. Really not a fan of the angrybirds spammable. Frost reach was a fun skill to use 😭

Sucks for warden dds but its understandable from a pvp standpoint. I will say I like the piercing cold change since I can now run a inferno or lightning staffs and get the ancient knowledge passive that goes in hand with piercing cold change if I understood it correctly.

@@NinjaPulls i'll definitely watch it but to elaborate, i don't think necro is trash, but i feel like we shouldn't have to jump through as many hoops as we have to, for example our ultimates, goliath does like 30-40k for more ultimate cost than like the storm atronach which does more than double damage. I just feel like our numbers need to be tweaked

It is quite shameful how far the game is behind the addon> Essential Housing Tools has: - portals to different houses in your house. - holograms (of many kinds: atmospheric/characters) - triggers based on movement/actions: e.g. automatically opening doors or changing lights when you walk into/out of a room. - favorite houses - official guildhouses - user interface to search houses - user interface to travel to any other player's house anywhere - grouping items and layouts for quick builds etc. We only getting some UI things as part of the maingame update.

The random 1 key coffer is unchanged. And I think we'd all gladly spend a quick 24 keys for a guaranteed set rather than spamming 5 keys and hoping for the best. Also, keep in mind there's almost nothing to spend keys on anymore.

I haven't played arcanist yet haven't got around to making a character yet to busy with my 7 other characters the beam looks fun as fuck to use the ultimate that chases you around looks fun to its crazy strong in PvP I've been murdered by it so many times lol warden being nerfed definitely makes zero sense out of all the classes I'm honestly fun with NB being so strong because it's the only thing that can get rid of the stupid tank meta we are in

Templar and necro are unusable in competitive pvp and still will be. Sorc and NB are the best and are getting more buffs. Sad time for those that like classes that are in the action and don’t play like sis boys. 🙃

They should really put Major Sorcery/Brutality on Blastbones instead... Skeletal mage is good for PvE, but useless in PvP. Moving it to Blastbones would make it usable in both PvP and PvE.

We make builds for a reason to make characters powerful. If they are just gonna nerf skills and sets because everyone is using it, then why would we make builds in the first place. Thats like when they changed the tormentor set and ruined the build for tank templars, That and when they sit and watch hack the minotaurs videos like shady cops waiting for a quota. Hey - thanks for the comment. Not sure what you mean, but stacking Health has never been a very effective way to Tank in PvE. So no nerfs there really. But in PvP it's become common to abuse Health scaling, and I can see why they'd want to fix that. I guess those are the nerfs you're talking about.

Yes but ZOS failed to account for the causes of the Nika uprisings: Justinian, along with his prominent officials John the Cappadocian and Tribonian, faced significant public disapproval due to the implementation of high tax rates, allegations of corruption against the latter two officials, and John's reported harsh treatment of debtors. As a warden that plays the class in pvp and pve as a healer and dps and have been playing this class since the day it came out, I couldn't be more happier with what they are doing right now. I feel like players are outraged about change but that's it, with scribing, there are other burst heals if necessary, and if you really want the heal, just take the other morph. We had a buff of 5% damages from the netch since last patch, we also now have more damage as a whole with the change done to piercing cold (thank god we don't have to play with the ice staff anymore) and no, that doesn't mean we should not use it, it just allow us to play other weapons as we see fit, for once do what you want with what you want to use, if you play warden and not arcanist in pve you're gonna be behind in dps anyway. But the point is, keep in mind that if what you miss is the 12% buff for ice staff we have at the moment, remember that we will have an 8% buff for all damage (under 30k hp) WITH the 5% buff of the netch we had in the previous patch that wasn't there before. Wardens will only do better from here as they can simply use other weapons to deal damage or keep the frost staff, since you're gonna do the same damage as before anyway. And not gonna lie, if in solo you used Arctic blast for heals, you were missing on the real heals the class can do, as usual, players will learn to like this patch and follow the "new meta" that comes up every three month without testing new sets and skills by themselves. Drop your master's frost staff for a second it's gonna be alright, it was necessary and WILL be for the best (although 30k as a limit is low but we'll see).

Okay, prove me wrong cause I think my hardcore frost warden is no longer viable at all and I refuse to use any other staffs since it's literally what I based my whole build, house, mounts and pets, companion, everything on. Being a frost warden. What scribing skills can I use to replace arctic blast that give a burst heal and still do some passive damage, maybe have frost related things it can do? Please enlighten me because I don't want this to be the end of my build I've put so much love into but it looks like it is. It isn't just that they made other staffs and weapons possible. It's that they did it by taking away the frost warden identity entirely.

@@micahhollingsworth you really don't have to change anything, remember the new 5% damage buff they gave to our netch, and the fact that you get 8% more damage if you are under 30k, you will have as much damage as you had before the patch, + the soul scribing skills will become ice damage next patch as well as the sword and shield skill line that will become frost damage as well, try new things, I swear frost damages will still be very useful next patch with or without ice staves, I love ice and that is why I chose to play warden, but nothing stops you from playing ice staff or using another weapon while still casting ice skills wether they are class skills or scribing skills, try new builds, one day I did want to make a strictly ice warden without the staff, so I took a heartland conqueror with a torug and made my weapons infused with a frost damage glyph, It was not the best but it was fun and unique, there are tons of ways to play ice warden, this update just gives us a new opportunity to play something that has the merit of being unique without being nerfed by a passive that forces the frost staff on us

Rip PVP once again the average classes are getting nerfed while the op ones are still as op. Necro changes aren't gonna make a big differences since it's on abilities that aren't very usable or it gives buffs that you could get another way
