Thank you man been using this video for almost a month, it’s the best full guide. You did a great job! Everytime I think I know Lei I always come back to this vid to learn something new. Lei is the only character I’ve played so far and finding other lei players online is a seldom treat since I get to see how others play him. I feel like many lei’s, at least in beginner’s, play him very differently since he has over 180+ moves. That’s why I love this video it’s got everything including transitions. You can never learn enough with Lei. Thanks again!

As a fellow Lei main, I must say that while in a duel, I did drunken forward 3 then 1+2 and accidentally held down cause I was trying to hop out of stance and did the heavy drink animation. Not really that interesting but could be a way to gain health, go to lay down, or can use to catch them off guard.
@DrunkenTZN2 жыл бұрын
The only way i found a use to that fake, is doing db4f near the wall, dru 3,1+2 and holding down because of no possible followup, then canceling it into dru 1 hoping for them to get up and mash. It's quite situational and probably not worth the risk

Hey, mister Drunken Master, I have a question, cause I'm having difficulty doing this consistently: Back turned + d4 into snake, then SSR and panther 2 - it's 50/50 if I get it or not, however fast I spam the sidestep after the d4. Any tips for this fellow drunkard in need?
@DrunkenTZN3 жыл бұрын
Ok, first thing about this combo, after bt d4 you have to go into snake by going to the left, so if you're in p1 you have to press bt d4 u, if you're in p2 bt d4 d. About the ssr into panther, you don't need to spam, just learn the recovery of the snake transition. By the way, i don't really recommend this combo since it can be tricky and inconsistent, i prefer to do bt d4 crouch cancel f3,1, always works. The only good thing about going into snake is that if you don't get the clean hit you're +8 for a mixup
@orcrist78473 жыл бұрын

I don't understand some technical stuff. What's i17 and i10 and i11 and basically every i(number)? Why is there a + and - next to block. What to they imply?
@DrunkenTZN3 жыл бұрын
As i said at the beginning of the video, "be sure to know the terminology and the basic functions of Tekken, such as inputs and frames'' because it's hard to explain, but i'll try to summary: Fighting games runs at 60fps, so to measure how fast moves are and how much recovery they have, we use frames. Moves have 3 phases: startup, active, and recovery. A jab, usually i10, means that it needs 1/6 of a second to startup and become active. On hit, it's +8, so it means you recover in neutral 8 frames before your opponent. Basically this is how frames work, but for a more in depth guide, watch this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4LRl6BvZpaLpcU&ab_channel=Core-AGaming

Okay I think I understand some of this now. I also checked the tier list and it said that lei is at the bottom of the list. I'm thinking of maiming Leroy and Yoshimistu now.
