Great vid Terry, love when you do the patch notes every update. I think the Commonwealth Cruisers are gonna be a nice addition. On PC Brisbane is the Tier10 and it's basically a Mino with HE, which would be crazy in Blitz. Lookin forward to it. So far the update is kinda jus focused on the added captain skills, which is nice. Anything new in the game that actually works is a step in the right direction I'd say lol!

For superships, I believe it will either be something like those games where you have "energy" that recharges in a certain amount of time and you spend one energy bar to play one round, or they will use actual game resources like steel or copper. I just hope they won't make us pay in gold again.

We'll see. The "rebate" seems to be in free XP and silver, but that doesn't necessarily mean the cost is in those, too. Fingers crossed it's not gold, indeed.

I like the changes to the ad system, 3 extra blueprint crates, doubling of the daily login reward (curious how that goes with portraits, commanders, ships,...) and the mistery crate sometimes gives something nice. The gold ads were standard, 30 a day (10950 a year) for just running 3 ads (nobody watches them) when you have less then 10k gold is useful. Those historical camos are expensive... Irun all ads while on my 1st coffee reading up on everything online. Ads done in about 15 min. (and on wifi, not to expensive ;) ) The matchmaking changes seems to be limited to EU (I read that somewhere, max 3 DD). It is nice, no fun in having to kill cruisers and you get 1 BB and 6 DDs... I ddn't notice much difference though, although I was surprised to see a BB at the bottom of the team list. It looks like they changed the order of display as well.

inb4 next update comes with idle port base building mechanics and Oil is now used to buy battles 😈, with 2 battles allowance per day of course.

hahaha my thoughts exactly - let's hope we don't go down that particular route :) I don't mind a resource sink for stuff you have in abundance late game, like silver, but I absolutely abhor those extortion systems

SUPERSHIPS sound like a money or resource grab. I"m not sure what 10 games with a supership gets you except a day of ego boo. Don't get me wrong. I'm human. When I just want to killl everyone and rack up points I play my OP ships. THanks Terry! I'd rather not play than struggle to eliminate a team of spinning dancing biots.

Well, you won't get bots in supership games, which makes sense, given that it's a "paid entry" round. Not sure how I feel about this, given that you still have to research and equip them, but I guess the idea is to stop them hitting randoms too hard, since they don't seem to technically get their own game mode.

I hate those spinning bots too. Try ranked battles mate. All human players, less crowded, and more competitive games. I'm playing ranks almost exclusively these days.

I think they said it was going to be a longer maintenance window, but in general, servers tend to struggle a bit after each update. Should settle down after a day or two.

I'm so excited for the commander xp update. That's a great move and, of course, can't wait for the transformers event (hopefully not hard to get them).

The recent track record in terms of events hasn't been outstanding, but we'll see. I'm still on the fence if I'll feature the ships, since I'm not a huge fan personally (no shade on people who are), maybe if I can find time, given that there seems to be quite some excitement around.

As you may recall, I have a big problem with commander skills having to use gold to reset skills having played Legends for 3 years straight from the beginning

For me it was the other way around, coming from Blitz to Legends, and suddenly I can just re-spec my commander for free. I also like the commendation system in Legends, collecting another resource to unlock skills is the right way to go. I've already mentioned to WG that gold for skill resets shouldn't be there.

I think this is a great Quality of life update, hopefully the login bug was fixed. I’m very excited to see superships (no, I’m not calling them Tier 11) and the new tech line, even if I’m not a Cv player, I want Yorktown, the commander talents, are interesting. But what I am most excited for is the Transformers X wows blitz collab, I love transformers, and I can’t wait to get my hands on those TF portraits, commander and frame. I will admit, why was bumblebee an epic commander and not soundwave or starscream?

I think it's been a lot going in the right direction. Commander skills needed an update, the late game as well, and while they're not outright _fixing_ the biggest issues (login, bots, ...) there is work in that direction, e.g. with the new resource download, no bots in supership event rounds etc.

Bot carriers are terribly mismatched. USN CV bots can actually be a menace, IJNs are pretty harmless. Although I'd prefer not to have bot CVs at all tbh, since they do have zero impact, all they do is send dive bombers, but no fighters, no scouts, useless torpedo bombers etc.

I have been playing WoWS Blitz for 3 years, I was playing WoWS PC before. These "superships" and "more superstrong CV" things tilted me to ragequit PC version. now I'm suffering from a login bug and I'm waiting for superships that I personally don't need in the game. I have already installed another naval mobile game and am trying it. It has no login bug, it's just modern ships, IMO ugly square garbage cans, "super fun" gameplay, drive around the island and fire one guided missile after another until the target is in range. WoTanks Blitz is another option, my friend of fleet just quitted from game to Tanks and he is fine.

Have you tried Warships Legends on mobile? It's a console port, developed in house by WG, and I think it's a really good middle ground.

I think the importance of Legendary CDRs is a overbalanced. For example, I don’t have a French Legendary so I stopped by French at Tier VIII. The skills seem to vary. Kincaid and Cunningham a great but Halsey is terrible.

We'll see if they add a new weapon system & targeting mode. Rocket or skip bombs kinda come to mind, looking at PC, and could probably be implemented off the existing torpedo targeting, just with a slightly different animation

Good job, Terry. It’s a lot unpack accompanied by a lot of unnecessary (€#*¥£{}.,?!) stuff that we don’t need like “Transformer” ships, temporary superships, dreadful camouflages, etc. Do players ask for and want these things, at least according to the comments you get? If it’s true, better match making and faster downloads are good at least. Not everything makes me grumpy. Ah well. Maybe I’ve turned into a fussy old guy?

Will the Main British battleships get a buff they require? BEEFY SHIPS LIKE GROSSER KURFURST GET BUFFED (Mods) but why don’t the Main British battleships get a buff ? AT tier 10 I really have hard time playing with Conqueror , Thunderer, tier 10 is solely ruled by battleships like GK , Yamatos, Vermonts, Slavas, Kremlins, and yet there’s more worse to occur with stupid superships coming to this game ,,, lol.,, but truly saying , you might have also seen , that nobody plays with main British battleships line . They are the weakest in the game , please buff those poor things GIVE THEM A FAIR CHANCE. Some suggestions; Her bow and main belt armor could be improved, her AP should be improved, or at least please improve the uselesss secondaries , improve AA capabilities, improve handling , please buff British battleships. They deserve better. One thing I’m happy is that with ST VINCENT I CRUSH TOSE STUPID BEEFY SHIPS TO DUST even though I let my team down . WITH ST VINCENT IVE CRUSHED THOSE STUPID BEEFY SHIPS LIKE GK, YAMATOS, VERMONTS, KREMLINS , SLAVAS , AND OTHER STUPID SPAMMING SHIPS MANY MANY TIMES WITH TRUE SATISFACTION . Thnak you 😅

So far, it sounds like an event, so temporary with a limit of rounds. We'll see. I wouldn't mind a tier 11, since every other tier gets a two-tier spread anyway.

22:00 Hi Terry! Bots actually have been using thier smokes in my games, as well as damage controls and heals. (This could also be a player that purposely made their name look like a bot to throw other people off)

Nothing is impossible, but I'm reasonably certain bots don't do that, I'd go with your second theory that someone intentionally used a colon in front of their name. Deception is part of warfare :)
