I love that gate! He’s a keeper! I’m definitely going to plant annuals next late winter. I’ve never really planted for seasons living in Houston. I tend to think of planting here as summer and not summer. End of story. Ha! And if it won’t survive our heat then I don’t plant it. But seeing your garden has shown me you can still enjoy those beautiful annuals but just have to think in terms of seasons. And I’m still amazed how well your roses do.

Thank you, he really is.🥰 We rarely have a freeze so growing in winter works out very well for us. We can definitely grow for seasons but I feel that our timing is a bit different than the rest of the country for certain things. Thank you so much for watching and happy gardening! 💚

I’m in middle GA zone 8b & it’s getting up to 91 today…way too hot too soon. Your garden is beautiful & you can’t beat zinnias for the upcoming heat. Always my go-to.😊

I agree, too soon! I love it in the 80’s but upper 90’s and triple digits is way too hot. Love zinnias in summer! 🌸 Thanks for watching!

Cynthia, your garden is beautiful! that gate is dreamy 💖 Question, did you direct sow your zinnias? what varieties are you growing? I have seeds and not sure which way to go.. only have a few of the zahara raspberry ripple .. and I want them to thrive 🙂🌺 TIA

Thank you! Yes, I direct sow the zinnia seeds. I’m trying some from Floret for the first time, Golden Hour and Dawn Creek. I also planted Zowie Yellow Flame which I’ve tried before and for the first time Zinnia Zahara Double Raspberry. I’ll be planting more varieties in the next couple weeks. Love to have zinnias everywhere during summer, the butterflies love them! 🦋💚

Love your garden! I've just started this year mostly with perennials, one hydrangea, and a few rose bushes. Question about the foxgloves - I understand they're biannual and when I purchased mine it was already flowering; does this mean it'll die once it's finished flowering? Or do they live longer in Florida since we really don't get freezing cold snaps?

Hi! Thank you so much! I treat Foxgloves as cool annuals here. They can’t handle our summer heat and also tend to rot with our summer storms. They’re usually done by the beginning of June depending on the weather.

Heatwave is right. It was so hot my dog didn’t want to chase butterflies

Poor baby.🥵 I have 1 that loves the heat for some odd reason. She would stay outside all day if I let her. Crazy dog! 🤪

Maybe use a microphone? Much of this is just low and garbled, even with the volume turned up. I do enjoy your walk through, but it's definitely hard to hear at a normal volume. Hope the heat isn't too bad for your plants

So sorry to hear you’re having a hard time hearing me. I use a mic for every video. I’ll try speaking up and see if that helps.
