UPDATE. Fiesta mk1 zetec engine conversion. The engine is in and more parts have arrived.

The engine is now finally in place. The gearbox has been sandblasted and painted, the powdercoating oven has been working overtime and its coming together.
i have bought
Gates cambelt kit (turned out to be wrong, correct Article number is : K015508XS)
Gaskets for the sump (Article number: 023896H) and rockercover (Article number: EP1300-918Z)
oil filter (Article number: F106401)
from www.autodoc.com
i have also sourced the servo and will be adapting that shortly.
i have purchased manifold plates from www.daperforma...
and a set of carbs from a Honda CBR 600

How did you calculate the revised jetting on the carbs to suit the larger Zetec engine?

To be completely honest I never got that far. I had to remove the carbs and sell them because of emissions laws in Sweden 😢 and go injection. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWTTnImkocudiKM

@@mike_themechanic probably very wise Mike. I felt that they were probably slightly small anyway when in the past we would have probably have gone for 45mm chokes anyway..- (Did you film a later episode by the way?)

@@philtucker1224 I went on to danstengineering.co.uk and read that 37mm ones like the cbr600 will be good for up to 175bhp.

Will the belt not slip more on a powder coated pulley ?

I don't think so, some pullys are powder coated from the factory. It can always be removed if it does slip.
