My heart is filled with anger and hate everytime i hear of cases of heartless cruelty towards these big cats. The culprits bring out the worst in me. Horrible thoughts cross my mind.

That cannot happen until their natural habitat is protected. Otherwise, they are subject to poaching and lack of prey. Factor in that no wild animal born in captivity can be returned to the wild. This is why most breeding programs just perpetuate the problem, especially the schemes of pay-to-pet tiger cubs and lion cubs. So much more needs to be done. And now, any progress that has been made for animal welfare has been destroyed by the Trump administration.

The removed documents included records of enforcement actions against violators of the Animal Welfare Act and the Horse Protection Act. The previously available records were frequently used by animal welfare advocates to monitor government regulation of animal treatment at circuses, scientific labs and zoos. Members of the public could also use the department's online database to search for information about dog breeders, as could pet stores. Seven states currently require pet stores to source puppies from breeders with clean USDA inspection reports, according to the Humane Society of the United States - a requirement that could now be impossible to meet. Also, Trump himself has expressed his intention of dismantling the EPA, which is charged with protecting this country's natural environment, clean air, clean water, our National Parks, etc. He appointed Scott Pruitt to head the agency. Pruitt is a long-time opponent of the EPA and has sued them many times. He's received massive contributions from the fossil fuel industry. There's so much more. It's almost apocalyptic.
