Awesome stuff happening, Josh; thanks for the update! Also, I think when it comes to your songs, I think you should just be genuine and do what you're inspired to do without worrying too much about what the current fans are gonna think. Sylosis has been VERY consistent, even with the variations, so I'm confident that if you're stoked about what you're creating, the fans will like it too. There's always gonna be a few "elitists" who wanna put you in a box and have you repeat the same sound over and over, but even if they're the loudest, that doesn't necessarily mean they represent the majority. (Also, your melodic stuff if my favorite part of Sylosis!; both with the music and your singing voice!) I hope the tour in the US goes well; I was super excited to see you guys live, but if I understood correctly, I think Sylosis will be leaving the tour before it comes to my area. I'll be sure to confirm that, cause if it's doable, I'll definitely come out and support you!

Congrats on the EP, all the songs are awesome. Disavowed is definetely a favourite right now. Feel your pain with the whole being away from your kids. I hate only seeing my kids through the week for a brief period of time, makes the weekends better when i get more time with them. When the times comes, they will understand why you was away doing what you was doing. You're out providing for them aswell as living a dream aswell and i'm they will appreciate that. Hey Josh Middleteam, the new EP absolutely fucks and is some of the best Sylosis material ever, especially Disavowed. The melodic section in the middle is classic Sylosis for me, but loving the "old Sylosis" in tracks like Soured Ground too.

I remember seeing Sylosis in Sydney at soundwave a long time ago when your gear had been lost on the flight over and you had to borrow a guitar from another band. Well, for taking the two swings at tone creation between amp and drum sims and knocking them out with Mike Tyson like precision and power, i'd say the momentum is all yours... You even got us old grumpy Gen X'ers rootin for ya... I will be video/Demo'ing a track using MDL and STL Tonality soon. I bought MDL on release day and Tonality long before the trial expired about a year ago and effin love em... I notice you use the 5150 Iconic and EVH III Stealth.. im a huge fan of those.. Maybe one day those will be included as an upgrade or even a new suite....

I’ve loved every sylosis album since conclusion of an age but I’ve gotta say that you introduced some ‘core’ influences on cycle of suffering and it really elevated your already incredible songwriting. And in part the deliberate step away from that made the latest album underwhelming for me. From what I know about you and your taste you’ve never been a huge fan of breakdowns in your own music but it was so awesome hearing that version of Sylosis and that you didn’t have to compromise in any way while adding energy and appeal. I hope we get more breakdowns and hardcore influences in the future but either way I know you’re gonna keep writing and releasing incredible music 🤘

hey man, quick question, you said about the early days of sylosis being in drop B and as you're currently tuned to c# standard do you think you'd ever write any sylosis stuff in drop B? also if the US tour is currently looking like a loss what is the point of a band taking that tour? I'm in a small band and it would be good to know the reasoning behind taking a loss on a tour for any band.
