I have not gotten a good answer from any Expat KZbinr yet….. maybe you can help me…….. many ex-pats in the Philippines, talk about a throwaway ticket so they can come into the Philippines, and stay more than 29 days because they show a onward airline ticket. However, as you may be aware, there is a company that sells a what’s known as a throwaway ticket for less than $20 and the foreigner never actually leaves the Philippines during the first 29 days on that trip. Here is my question …….. doesn’t the immigration department look at your passport when you are returning home, leaving the Philippines to see and verify that your passport has been stamped as having actually entered another country like Thailand or Vietnam? To me, it makes far more sense that the Philippine government would check your passport when you are leaving the Philippines not just when you first enter the Philippines and show them a fake or onward ticket to another country before your free 29 day visa expires .

When you leave the Philippines they will check to make sure you didn’t overstay. They’ll make sure you have your extensions if you stayed over 29 days. The throwaway ticket is meaningless at that point. It’s just a formality showing that you “intend” to exit prior to your initial visa expiration.

Makati is a nice area in Manila. I stayed there when I working in Manila. Mia I know you are married and I remember when you cut you hand, it was really scary but you should not be that surprised that you get a lot of attention. I actually think Mia that you have gotten more attractive since you have gotten a little older. I'm not flirting just being honest. The first president Marcos was criticized for not being able to speak the national language. I was there in the 70’s. My wife said he spoke Ilocano. Took my wife to Manila in 77 to do her paperwork for go her to the us. My wife had worked and had sisters who lived in Manila. Manila was very nice then. Today? Stay safe, hope everything goes well for you! I was always careful not to look at other women. But! My wife would point out attractive women! But, she was very attractive herself!
