If you showed £18,600 on your first entry visa application, then you will need to show £18,600 on the ILR but please double check this in case of any changes by the time of your application

If when you made your entry clearance application the in on threshold was £18,600 then ILR income threshold for you will still be £18,600

Hi, yes if your initial visa and extension were the £18,600 threshold then it is still the same for you for ILR. The increase is only for those applying for the first time.

You say it must of been hard to reach the £18k threshold, that is simply not true as it's well below the national average, the threshold had to raise because it was far too low.

People have different circumstances. Not everyone is able to work full time either so for those families it was hard.

When I applied for extension of the visa 2 years ago there was a priority option and I was able to get my residence permit in 3 days. Wondering if that’s still available for ILR?

Hi, yes priority services are still available but you have to apply at like 12/1am for them to appear.

Hi, the increase wont affect anyone who showed £18,600 on their first entry visa application. Please double check this when the time of your application comes in case of any changes

Yeah, it's really unfair. I think people could work round an £18k salary and some were able to fake it quite easily so I understand why it was increased. but I think £26k is more than enough, but unfortunately they obviously don't think so.

@RuksanaAhmed I do agree. Between 26k and 29k is fair to prove you can provide for 2 people, but previously planning to raise it to 37k+ is ridiculous and extremely unfair for geniune average working people wanting to be together
