Running a D905 Android Box 9.0. Box is only an s905, (no letter behind it.) The dtb says p281, but for some reason it doesn't boot from anything located in the boot folder.

Hey i just update my batucera it ask me to reboot the system and now it wondt boot up. Its just black screen and info helps a lot

Attempting to edit the boot partition with windows, is proving rather difficult. Since this is a Linux code I am beyond newbie and I haven’t any clue how to edit it.

The boot partition should be a fat32 filesystem and can be read by windows

Good morning, I have a TV box X96 X4 S905X4. However, recently, I installed firmware from another TV box with similar performance, the BOXPUT BP4 S905X4, on my X96 X4 TV box. Now I'm trying to restore the original firmware of my X96 X4 TV box, but my computer no longer recognizes the device. I'm a little lost and would like to ask for your help, please. What should I do?

Not really sure. Have you tried holding the reset button when you power it on to try to get into a bootloader mode to see if the computer sees it then?

Nice👍! I have enough of card corruption on my original Emuelec 4.6 boot system on my Android TV Box Super Console X2pro😖. So i‘m thinking of flashing Batocera 39 for the s905x2 on a Micro-SD Device per Etcher for the console and boot from it. Do you think it will work, doing the same like in your video or will it change something directly inside the device? Without an sd-card it boots into the Android TV-Section with the Emuelec-Libre App. With the Emuelec-game-SD-card it boots directly into Emulationstation. I also have a portable version of batocera for Linux wich i use on a mini-pc and noticed that there‘s an option in Batocera (inside ES-DE Frontend) to clone the whole system to another usb or sd for different devices like X86 64bit, S905x, etc. Will this be better? Is it cloning everything from the card to another usb drive or sd-card?? (retroarch, settings, etc..). ???

Ooopps, i see…. No Support for the Amlogic S905X2 (wich actually is a S905L). Argh😩. Support for: S905 S905x S905x3 S905Gen2 (not a X2). Only missing is the S905x2 🙄

Most likely there isn't a fix. There's too many variants in these TV boxes to include drivers for all the different makes and models. Try ethernet or put everything on a USB flash drive

Not sure about CoreElec, but you can run Armbian on most of these Amlogic devices

Not quite. It's a Debian Linux distro that will run on these devices. From there, you'd have to see what games you could get working

No, you don't move or rename the .dtb file. Find the one for your processor (it's not p212), copy the name, paste it into the uEnv file and save. That should be it

I have Batocera running perfectly on my HK1 s905x3 device, but the remote no longer powers it on so I have to unplug it and plug it back in to work. Any ideas on a solution to that?

Hello there I'm not sure what i'm missing here. I have a t95x TV box, however, it has Aidan's Custom Rom and there's no local update option on it. It also has TWRP recovery, but the SD Partition doesn't show up. Any workaround for that?

Not that I know of. I had to revert to my stock ROM so I could access the update app inside Android

It's running off the SD card, so just power off, remove the SD card and power back on to return to Android

YO can u help me please man or anyone on here with installing BATOCERA on GT KING ?? I have downloaded the gt king link from Batocera site and flashed onto micro sd card and changed the DBT File to "dbt.img" exactly like how u do with Emuelec, but when i put the micro sd card into the gt king with toothpick into reset button then put in the power cable only the BEELINK logo comes up and Batocera foesnt boot up.... what am i doing wrong, or what am i not doing correctly ??? Thanks for any help on this guys :)

I'm not familiar with that box, but the official steps in the Batocera documentation are different from the generic Amlogic images shown in the tutorial. wiki.batocera.org/hardware:gt_king

Are you holding the reset button while powering on the device? Have you ever booted to the SD card before?

Maybe try an older version. They may have dropped support for s912 in newer builds

i am guessing You do not want to take any responsibility and i am not asking you to. but there are many including myself who still can not get Batocera working on the s905 x3. Remember i already did al the required steps to boot form card. as i was running Emeulec on it. You say its not the p200 file so which one is it then?

You have an s905x3, you need to download the "Amlogic S905 tvbox gen3" image from the batocera site. I don't have an x3 device to test on, so from there you are on your own. You'll notice the x3 isn't listed in either of my videos

did not succeed i tried LAKKA and Batocera on X96 mini amlogic S905W both meson-gxl-s905w-p281.dtb and meson-gxl-s905w-tx3-mini.dtb did not work edit: version Lakka-AMLGX.arm-3.0-box.img -Lakka-AMLGX.arm-3.7-box.img works perfectly on CRT tv via composite video out of the boxx edit2 : all versions are working perfectly just remove the video=Composite-1:d bootarg

It definitely works, I've done it on several different TV boxes. Have you tried a different SD card? Have you ever booted your TV box from SD card for something else?

@@i12bretro I had no luck with newer versions No display on HDMI or Composite video I have test every version from 2.xx to 4.2 Every file worked except those named Lakka-AMLGX.aarch64-4.x-box.img.gz That means only Arm versions work on X96 Mini Like Lakka-AMLGX.arm-3.7-box.img.gz
