"The kids were put in an impossible situation" No they weren't. They were put in a situation to protect the guilty parent who was cheating on their spouse, or protect the innocent parent who didn't. That's an easy call to make. And they made the wrong call.

Exactly. They were young kids or teenagers. They were adults and still covered for their pos mom.

Omg stop calling these adults victims... They are not victims but people who made choices. They decided to throw their dad under the bus to keep living their happy family life. They choose to destroy their dad to make their lives easier and better at the cost of his, they knew what they were doing the entire time, they were not manipulated they were bad people who made bad choices.

"They were not manipulated". You can't really say that, tho. Manipulation, at it's best, is subtle and made to feel like you're making a choice yourself, but in reality, you're making the choice someone else wants. We don't really know what went on between OP's ex and his kids, what pressure she may or may not have put on them to keep quiet. Maybe the kids didn't feel they had enough proof of the affair or, being young, were worried that they had misinterpreted the things they saw. I agree they made the wrong choice, but I don't agree that they made that choice maliciously. The fact that they're giving their father the space he asked for is proof of that, in my eyes.

You weren't a victim, you knowingly slept with your sisters boyfriend for years. That makes you a perpetrator, not a victim. Try taking responsibility for your actions, you may find it helps you become a better person and deal with your issues.
