Update on my defective $750 Dollar Disney Designer Doll Set

I swear these dolls are amazing, but the quality control on each set is becoming ridiculous. I feel very grateful mine came perfectly made after shipping, however there were little marks of misprint from the designs on the side. I've seen now the buttons, I've seen the stains on her dress, dirty faces...I love the Disney Store, but shame on them. I know in their mind process they know we'll still get them, but they should treat their products especially these beauties with more respect.

I agree quality control is lacking. I ended up getting the LE Ariel doll from the Disney Store after the initial release date. They had two. One was in perfect condition (which I bought), and the other had a few hiccups. One of her white straps had broken from the back and was just hanging, and the box seemed to be somewhat looser than normal. Unsure if it was bought and returned or if it came to the store like that. It just gets disappointing when you're paying so much money for these dolls to have issues.

I'm glad they at least gave you a discount on the dolls, sounds like the best solution considering they didn't have any replacement to send you. I'm sure you can do some new buttons. It's too bad though, for the price they charge, those dolls had better be freaking perfect.

It's disappointing to see the decrease in Disney Quality Control :( My Saks Elsa LE doll came with missing eyelashes on one eye and an accidental freckle right next to her mouth. Does anyone else remember the Rags Snow White LE doll? Some of them were shipped with her head facing the back of the box! Sigh.

You are lucky that your doll was only missing the buttons. My friends platinum set came with Max, the dogs, head decapitated! Thankfully it was still in the box and she could glue it on, but loooord the quality control has slipped this year!

Apparently quality control has been kinda bad since Elsa's braid came undone or the mermaid Ariel LE doll had broken string on her top which resulted in loose beads bouncing around in the box

I remember I got Frozen Fever Elsa and the box came with the plastic punctured at the top and box beat up. I was livid and online support did not have a replacement and just wanted to give me Disney store credit. Went on their Facebook page to complain and they knocked off around 15-20% and got it for $90 dollars. Ended up having to find another box online and I placed her in a brand new box. Haven't had any issues since then but the quality control has been hit and miss with them.

Oh goodness, I received my set yesterday, and took very close look ups with my boyfriend. We discovered Max had some paint chips and discolorations. And part of the plastic of the box was shattered on the right. I will be in contact with shopDisneyUK tomorrow to see if they can at least refund a portion of my order too. I am soo glad that I am not the only one noticing some quality issues.

One hundred dollars back from the local store is fine, but you should talk to corporate about the buttons. If they recycle shoes, I'm sure they do the same for buttons. And they should come up with some. The money is for your inconvenience; the buttons are for your complete satisfaction. (Smh) The dolls are still beautiful, Chad.

Glad that disney helped out. Some companies can be jerks about things. One company that's really awesome is fisher price. We had a kids tea set miley got 2 years before. The tea pot stopped talking. We couldn't even give them the model code because it wore off. They asked me to describe it in detail and they gave us a coupon for the market value of the toy . Some companies are good. But for $750 I would hope they would do something.
