I was actually worried about you, hoping you weren't burned out due to negative comments. I'm glad you're doing ok.

I saw it coming that you would be dropping out. You got some other priorities. Totally understand that. Just want to say I really appreciated your contributions on Vatican II and the SSPX. Solid nuanced perspectives are worth their weight these days. God bless you and your family.

I'd like to make a request: That you can be the one channel on KZbin dedicated to apologising for and defending against attack the Second Vatican Council. It would be a great service to the Church right now, especially as converts daily are having their well poisoned by the increasingly loud minority.

DeClue, what are your thoughts about the recent debate between Dave Gordon and Jeff Cassman regarding the SSPX question? I'm interested in your take, as you rebutted the status of the SSPX in a recent video and got Hell for it.
@pl61684 жыл бұрын
DeClue got "Hell" because he intentionally parsed information and filled in his own conclusions in place of fact. One cannot pretend that they are against Pachamama et all and not root cause the reasons behind why Catholics are being treated to such abominations. As for Dave Gordon, easy defeat as that individual, much like DeClue relies heavily on the presumption of his credentials. Presuming to declare where he has no authority. The same can be said for DeClue who, the more he bathes in doctrinal theses, the more he blinds himself to the truth that he's adopting a "school" of thought. Not necessarily the truth as it is revealed.

I used to have a Strat, which I loved. I've never been able to play a Tele. To be honest, I prefer a Les Paul, though. Acoustic-wise, my best was a Breedlove Solo-Concert with rosewood back and sides and a cedar top. I'm also a Seagull fan. Unfortunately, I sold all my guitars a while back to pay bills. lol

@@decluesviews2740 Our taste are very similar played a Les Paul growing up and in college. Mine was kind of heavy for playing all night in a college band. I had a Grover Jackson Randy Rhoads, Strat, and a Yamaha acoustic. Ive played Seagulls they are nice. Im down to only a PRS and a Mesa Bogie amp. Im just getting back into after a few decades away. I describe myself as a guitar owner not a player now. Get that Phd done, Im pulling for you. I recieved an MA in church history from Keble College Oxford years ago, but didnt pursue a Phd. I know a Phd is a totally different world. As you know TM went gonzo on the whole Pachmama situation and even paid two guys to fly in and steal the art and throw it into the Tiber River. Leaving Pope Francis embarrassed and apologetic to indigenous Amazonian people about their missing gifts. I read a theologian's article supportin g Francis on this stating many in Rome thought that the Pachmama was evidence of early Catholic missionaries reaching the lives of these tribes centuries ago. Over time the tribes lost touch with missionary influence and the Mother of God with child imagery was repurposed into their own cultural narratives. Francis didnt attack them with claims of idol worship, but was hoping through good will to gently and slowly bring them back to the forgotten story of the God bearer. I believe based on what he knew going on in the Vatican and the reception the people received that he was on to something. Man's dilemma has always been his relationship with God and turning to idols then turning back to God. What he had to say was so much more profound than the TM narrative that our "invalid" Pope Francis had screwed up again and TM had to come in and personally assist in saving the Church for us all. TM clearly hasnt spent much time in mission field or those whose opinions or knowledge arent similar to his own. I say all that to say we need your voice and brain out there. Hang in there the next few months on that Phd. God bless you. J+
