Even if a man, you **kind of sort of** know, doesn't show up on any kind of registry, and you are not aware of any other type of criminal history for him, unless you've known him your entire life, he probably isn't somebody you should leave it alone with your child, no matter which gender your child is. The vast majority of offenders haven't been caught yet, and many of them will never be caught at all, so they won't show up on a registry. You can't just depend on a registry and assume any name that doesn't show up there is a properly safe person.

It sounds like this creep is trying to mislead the investigation and send the police on wild goose chases. I hope that they find Audrii alive and that she is brought home safe but I also have a terrible sinking feeling that this might not be a happy ending. Especially after they found that wet backpack. The Sheriff stated that McDougal admitted to giving Audrii a ride, but didn't confirm that he dropped her off and then she went to the bus stop. So where did he take her? He's got nothing to lose because LE doesn't have a body so he doesn't have to admit to anything. Audrii needs to be found but McDougal is the prime suspect and he knows where she is, he's playing games.
