Social distancing and the police: The police have not been tested for coronavirus and are not practising social distancing. Therefore, if you are approached by the police, call the police. Then, when those cops show up, call the cops, because those cops haven't been tested either and aren't following social distancing recommendations. When all of the cops have been arrested by all of the other cops, they should be treated by NHS nurses. As none of the NHS nurses have been tested and none of them are practising social distancing, they too should be arrested. When all of the cops and all of the NHS nurses have been arrested and incarcerated, we get to reach "herd immunity", at which point, all of them can be released again (after having been charged and fined).

Yeah, tell that to a woman who was raped. I guess the rapist could just say he didn't 'consent' to the Sexual Offences Act 2003, and he'd be let off. I think not.

@ Mr Messy I know. The original poster implied that Acts only come into force if one consents. I asked the original poster if he didn't 'consent' to the Sexual Offences Act, it would mean it wasn't in force, and therefore he could ignore it. It doesn't work like that in the real world.

If your not happy with the outcome of the investigation please appeal, it does sometimes make a difference due to another officer investigating.
@Stuart_George4 жыл бұрын
I will (depending on the outcome of course). However, as they were SO18 officers I suspect even a new investigating officer will still be from within SO18. I believe I can request that any conflicts of intrest that the investigating officer might have, be disclosed. I suspect the current COVID19 situation will be used as an excuse (rightly or wrongly) to drag things out, hoping I'll just lose interest in persuing the matter.

Again, a course of action that I will consider in due course. I'll need to educate myself on the civil procedure rules first. I've only briefly studied them so far. Thanks for the advice, cype man. Appreciated.👍

How much can you actually sue the Police for the section 43 stop and search and detainment? *No Freeman of the land £1Million an hour answers please*
@Stuart_George4 жыл бұрын
I believe the 'accepted rate' (if there is such a thing!) Is about £200, more if the detention is lengthy. I think this is based on previous cases. I've not really looked into it, but did come across this figure somewhere, hence my words 'I believe' and 'I think'.!!!

Look up the care bill act voted in a few days ago
@Stuart_George4 жыл бұрын
Please provide a link, citation or evidence. I can find nothing called the Care Bill Act. The name makes no sense. When a Bill is passed, it becomes an Act. Would like some more info please.
Thanks, but this is the Coronavirus Bill, which has now been passed and become the Coronarivus Act. (Title is in top left). This is not the Care Bill Act, as you call it. Please can you point me to the section that talks about removing children from parents if the police feel or believe the parents are endangering them, as mentioned in the original post about this.

I will read it again.(The Coronavirus Act, not the Care Bill Act thing you originally were quoting). I was hoping you might help and point it out to me, as you are the one seeming to go along with the original statement. Is that to much to ask? I am presuming you have read it, and could point it out to me quite easily if you really wanted to.

I can find nothing called the Care Bill Act that was passed 3 days ago. Usually a Bill is passed, then becomes an Act, as far as my limited understanding goes, so even the name makes no sense. There are parts of the Coronavirus Act 2020 that do affect various Health Acts including the Care Act 2014, but so far no one can point me to the relevant section that the OP was refering to. I'm not saying it's not there, I just want someone to point me to the relevant section or schedules. So far, no one can.
@Stuart_George4 жыл бұрын
Whatever gave you this idea? Take the child where? There is NOTHING in this Act, or the Health Protection Act that gives anyone powers to remove children from their parents. They can act if they have reasonable grounds that a child is potentialy infected AND may infect others, but they can't 'take' a child from their parent or guardian just because they feel/believe they are endangered by being outside.
