Nice update, she is coming along beautifully..some great detailing, liking the wheel/tire treatment, and the yellow looks fantastic, not an easy feat...great tip on the Tulip stuff, never tried it but any seam fill that you can smooth with water is a bonus, cause I hate sanding...lol....95 in the shade, huh, early May....maybe you could fry an egg plane for us in your yard, a little demonstration...LoL

Lol!! Thanks Tommy,, very much appreciated!! I know a guy the backed cookies in his car a couple summers ago. An egg plane fried on the side walk would be funny.

On the fithwheel you can use artist oil paints in the tube hunter Selby at Showtime studios used on his the oil paints take a little longer to dry but produce a realistic look to the fith wheel check out his KZbin channel

Good choice on the slick paint should look the part never use real grease on your model it attracts all kinds of dust bunny’s

I wonder how real grease will look after a time gummed up with all kids for cactus power I bet,looking forward to seeing it greased up
@BGsModelWorkshop4 жыл бұрын
Oh I'm not using real grease. That is Dylan over at N.Y.S. I hesitate to use real grease on plastic models. Some grease and oils can eat the paint, or worse soften the plastic.

For fifth wheel grease, try a little contour/fill putty ,be Tamiya or Testors, smear some onto the fifth wheel and mix a little gloss black with a touch of dark red paint,and paint it. That way you got the look without having wet grease on your model to collect dust,plus get on you every time you touch the truck.
@BGsModelWorkshop4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip, but I'm going with the tulip. It's Actual paint. Not grease. Some other guy in the group buildnid is using real grease.
