VG link B.T adapter is what I use. I like to monitor fuel trims long and short while driving. Another good pid is converter Temps. Both are similar so they are not plugged.

It's so great that you present it so sensibly! Can I install on both my Android phone and a tablet? Both run on the same Google account. Do I then have to pay twice? Would you recommend Independent Edition or Google Play Edition? thx

Thank you. Unless you had the Google play version before the change, you have to do the independent version. I have installed my license of forscan on multiple devices but I also had the Google play version. I havent tried with the new independent version

I have a 2014 c-max (yes, its amazing but not a truck). I get a check engine light every once in a while, but when i use the free scanner from oreilley it doesnt pull any codes. It seems like forscan does a whole lot, but do you think it will pull any codes that arent visible to a standard odb scanner? Thanks, great video by the way.

Forscan will pull pretty much every code that the Ford scantool will. It's definitely a big step up from the generic scan tools. I recommend if you own a Ford you should have the app and computer version

Hey mate just wondering how to find module activation on the app. So far the app connects to the Ford falcon but nothing comes up in the service section?

The issue is that the smart lock has come on and the car won't start. I bought the vlinker code reader and now the forscan lite app doesn't have any settings come up. Did you have any limitations to what you could do with the scanner?

The app is limited. Personally for a y type of diagnosis, I'd use the computer version of Forscan. You should be able to use the same OBD2 adapter for the computer.

what year powerstoke is yours ive bought them cheap elm blue tooth and i could never get it to pair to my phone or truck i think it said cant read ecm . i have a cheap walmart adapter also can i use that to connect to forscan ... i have a 2001 f350 7.3 i think i was trying to connect to torq pro 🤔 are you able to do a injector buzz test with your setup if you have a diesel?

Mine is a 1997 f250. I'm able to connect toy phone and android radio. I'm able to buzz test with Forscan. I also use torque pro with the same adapter.

Hi, I saw that there are also service functions where you can reset the pcm module and other modules. Have you already tried them? Are they safe?

I know the PCM doesn't work on my 07 hybrid. I only really use the cell balancer. I haven't gotten to try it much on newer stuff.

Fun, my android S22 Ultra will not allow me to install an APK even after I enable installation from unknown sources. It pops up and asks if I want to install, doesnt give me a yes option, but only gives me a "Cancel Installation" option. Curious if Google blocked even installing the .apk of Forscan.

Interesting. I'm still able to download and update mine. Make sure your downloading the right one. There are 2 different ones on Forscans website.

Just tried all this on my S23 ultra and the app won't open it says " unable to initialize " then closes It won't let me update it either I'm trying to get this for my 04 6.0 Powerstroke

How do you enter the activation code for the IOS version?

I'm not 100% sure. I don't have a iPhone or know anyone with one. It should be the same process. Download the app buy the program and copy and paste the code into the program on the first open like I did in the video.
