MUCH respect to IRP for listening to criticism instead of trying to silence it. Definitely have it on my list now.

LOL, not with that rattle on a daily. IRP fix that yet? I'd really like to purchase this thing, but I'd need to engineer an o-ring seating on the reverse lockout as that seems to be the bit. I read they're on Rev 3.0, but can't find the details.

Good thing I saw this video right after your first review. Really thought about not buying one, but now I’m sold with your video. Thank you!

That "New Shifter'' is like V3.? Im looking for shifter for my e36, and there is three options V1, V2, and V3, and V2 From V3 Dosnt have visible difference, so V3 should be that new one with no issues. Edit. - Ok, there is no V1, They have V2 and Two V3, and newest one is V3 Self Centring.

i got the irp v3 that came with the rubber gasket, and i now have super bad rattle from the shifter, did you still have to apply loctite on all screws?
@ghanimonster2185 жыл бұрын
It seems a lot more appealing when you don't have to pay for the new version

Where is the rattle? Just the thumb activated reverse lockout?

Yes

@@OrenHolzman Wish it wasn't all aluminum for the palm bit. In the PNW, it takes aluminum shift knobs a while to warm up in the cold season per my jeep experience with one. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience though.

Does it still rattle up to date?

Would you recommend this shifter for non-track/ stock setup?
@OrenHolzman3 жыл бұрын
If you like driving your car aggressively on the street then sure. If your car is more of a cruiser then it may be too aggressive.

Why does irp send u a 450 dollar shifter ????? Who are u influensing ????
@OrenHolzman4 жыл бұрын
IRP replaced the shifter which I purchased from them with updates so it rattles less. But hey, you watched my video so I guess I influenced you

Is the new shifter the V3 IRP or is it not released yet?
@OrenHolzman6 жыл бұрын
I believe it’s the V3. If you order one and it has the rattle, just contact IRP

Does it get hot in the summer and cold in the winter? I mean if that was your daily driver would you recommend it?
@OrenHolzman5 жыл бұрын
It may get warm or cold but because my car is not my daily and is garage kept, I really can’t speak on how hot/cold it gets.
@inorbit645 жыл бұрын
It will get pretty cold or warm on my BMW. It gets some heat from the gearbox and sun, and in the winter at startup it will be cold untill the gearbox or your hand makes it warm. It is aluminium so it changes temperature quite quickly. I've had my airco pointed at the shifter at some point to keep it a bit cooler on a hot summers day. But so far never had any real issue touching it with bare hands.

Hey, I'd love to do a collaborative track day shoot with you. Do you plan to come to Laguna seca for the norcal socal 86cup/86drive Challenge event?
@OrenHolzman6 жыл бұрын
I don’t intend on going since my car will NEVER pass the Latina Seca sound restrictions and I don’t know if I want to go through the work of reinstalling the stock piping.. are you going to the Buttonwillow event next month? (April)
