I saved up and got a t4 in Weaver's a few months ago with the half off. The fishing from your back deck sold me instantly. Plus I like the atmosphere and the zone becane a good hub for me for a lot of stuff.

Depends on whether you want 3 trophies quickly or not . The 5-10% dmg increase helps on dgs and is easier to grind for cheap houses, so no you're still better off just buying small houses first for the extra storage and trophies.

Yep. He also neglected to mention town buffs. Some towns always have 3 town buffs running while others have none or just one. If you're min maxxing, buying 3 houses in territories where they always run at least 3 buffs means you'll have 9 buffs always on, increasing your odds of having extra hitpoints or even the odds of being able to craft gear score 600 items.

Idk how much gold you can make nowadays, but i bought a low t house on release and it was horrible grinding 20k to get a t4 later on.

I would say the only real thing to consider as well is to make sure the town you buy a house in is being upkept by the company (keeping everything t5) and which buffs they research. (I even ended up selling a t4 house just bc it kept using the same buffs as another towns t4 house I owned)

The question that just popped up in my head is this: As town storage is essentially linked, why is it not yet - you know, linked? One big storage with the option to have some user-defined tabs maybe? I mean, I'm not complaining, this alone is a great change - but you know, have a pinky, have the whole hot dog? 🙂

I hit the grind hard back in the day so I could buy that first house at Tier IV. I wanted to save that cool 10k on the first purchase. It is so easy no adays. I used to fill myself up with stuff and run city to city. I had each city specialized in what was stored. I had 4 cities full, a few more with a large number of items. Ugh. It is so nice these days.

Keep in mind as well. If you can own 3 houses and an Inn. Farming up WW to 30 and getting the T4 house and can still get a house on other locations. You should just wait on a house till level 60 regardless. As trophies are the main use of a house outside the Sims feeling.

They need to change initial buy mechanic. Do a mortgage system. Pay for a place in full or mortgage it. Then add the "rent" as a mandatory tax. Like property tax. So if you are poor, u can still get the house you want but make payments on them. Or if ur rich, drop 500k and the money immediately hits city treasurey

all the houses are so cheap why would they need something like this? even a non lvl 60 player can get enough gold to purchase and upkeep a t4 house (if they have the standing to grab one)

U will still need a house somewhere first, I agreed on T4 house is true, but normal ppl won't just lvl to 60 in 3 days to farm reputation in Brimstone, so that will prob be a 2nd house :)

Agreed. The weight on the decision to postpone buying your first house is not as impactful as it used to be. And we also have territory standing supplies now, so more options to boost that particular leveling path

Thanks for the video, havent played teh game in months and coming back for fresh start. I remember I screwed up with the first house buy discount and got like a tier 2 house and regretted it later griding to 20k gold. Then the rent, like you said, was atrocious. So glad they made these QoL improvements like with the storage access too.

I love housing in game, but 2 of my homes do not calculate anymore and can not be seen by the public even though I can routinely get 2 million points in a 48 hour period. This has been an issue for about 3 months. A lot of people have this bug. I wish the devs would do something about it.

you lose the benefits of your trophies and things like your house recall, ability to decorate etc. you don't get evicted for not paying your taxes lol

I wish they'd give out an extra discount for the players like me who just bought the cheapest house they saw without realizing what each different tier house offers. It just sucks that it's only a one time deal and if you make a mistake like me you can't change it back like a limited time for you to sell your house to get that discount back. Especially when the housing system wasn't very clear at launch.

im pretty sure if you sell the house you still get the discount as long as its the only house you own... at least thats how it used to be... as long as you got rid of the old house youd get the discount again since you no longer had any houses...

Watermarking is called expertise now and just about anything you do can increase it. There are various dailies you can do (gathering, pvp, pve and more) to get gypsum orbs and those orbs are used to craft an item of your choice qith a guaranteed boost to your expertise. Aside from that you no longer need tuning orbs to run dungeons. You can dungeon spam all day and rapidly increase your expertise. I just got back into the game about a week ago and have 600 expertise on almost everything. I've been grinding dungeons pretty hard though. Edit: just to be clear, the days of doing chest runs are long gone. I'm sure I quit the game for similar reasons as you and can tell you the game actually feels really nice to play now.

@@garrettrast2953 thanks for response, the main thing that is turning me off from the game currently is the fact the gearing system is still the same as it was before. I could not stand camping AH to find gear pieces with the perfect perks on them for my build. For example, I hear Freedom/ Resilient/ Refreshing Evasion are best for PVP on armor and I spend most of the evening looking for those and could not find one that had all of them on it.

@@hop5656 yeah to my knowledge this is still the same. Very hard to find gear with exactly the three perks you need but there are some pretty decent named drops and gear sets that you can get from dungeons and mutated dungeons. They may not be best in slot but some sets are easily good enough to take to 625 and get you by until you find what you're looking for.

a bit misleading video, since the most important factor as for now is, whether the terriotories you buy houses in are main hubs or not. if its not then you will have far less town buffs that you can utilize on. so best places to get a house at are: EF, WW, and BW (prepatch) or BS (once patch goes live)

I let the Town Board experience video fly but now you're just deliberatly missinterpreting PTR specific mechanics to pump out content - It's literally stated in the PTR notes that material exchange between towns is Free for Testing purposes. The town board experience change might be PTR or build specific aswell, as in that it is changed for the specific reason that they wanted us to test the new Main Story Quest-line. Thumbs down.
