Thanks for the video. Probably going to pick one of these up in the next year.

A have same sprayer, loose a lot pressure, I don’t know why? Any advice
@DaileyWoodworks Жыл бұрын
I have a Titan Capspray 95 and am looking for something that requires a little less “finesse” to get thicker paints to spray. I build and finish custom cabinetry and most jobs are 1 gallon or less of paint. How does it do with getting a glass finish on cabinets with a good water based cabinet paint? Approximately how long does it take to clean? I had a 440 and it felt like it took 45 minutes to get it clean at the end of a job.

I'd recommend a Graco GX19 instead of the Titan 655 for your purposes, they're similar on a lot of fronts but I've never heard of the GX19s having all the issues that the 655 has.

Ironically I’ve just purchased this same machine to compliment my 15yr old 440i. Liking it so far. It cleans out pretty fast and sprays very smoothly. It’s funny how it kinda sounds like a rattle trap and then you get on the gun side of it and go, oh, it’s really smooth!!

I hope it keeps being smooth for you, it is really a great little machine when it's working well!

Good day sir, I'm new to these pumps. Where do I add the oil after cleaning pump? Inlet valve? Great content 👌🏽

Have you ever experienced that fan getting stuck when you try to turn it on?
@gregorylibbee12122 жыл бұрын
Hi - Thank you for the video. Do you ever do any fine finish work with this machine? I was told by a salesman not to buy this machine due to it being a diaphragm pump. He told me I wouldn't be able to do fine finish work with it because the fan would pulsate and wouldn't be steady enough. I'm trying to decide between a 655, GX19 or a T4 w/hopper. Thoughts? Thanks for your time!
@offutta2 жыл бұрын
The T4 is the highest quality option, but also the most expensive by far (3-4x). The diaphragm pump will produce a tighter fan pattern than the GX19 b/c the piston/pressure control in the GX19 is not finely tuned and doesn't come with their SmartControl. The ED655's diaphragm pump consists of smaller cycles/pumps per unit of product/paint and a tighter pressure band, thereby producing a more controlled fan pattern.

@@offutta Whoa, GOOD reply. I didn't know that. Do you think I'll have any problems running a Tri-Tech 380 gun with a 306 tip? Another fella told me I can run a 15' whip (less wasted material) with the Titan pump which you cannot do with a t4 or gx19 due to back pressure problems.

@@gregorylibbee1212 I run a 25' hose with this with no issues. I don't have deep experience with the other pumps so I can't comment on them, but what I can say is it depends on what type of work you're doing. I know some of the best finishers around do extraordinarily high end FPE Eco Satin work with this exact unit. I don't see anyone finishing high gloss oil doors with this unit. Extrapolate from that how you will, but I'd say odds are this unit will work out well for you and the only thing that'll be annoying is that nut issue I mention in the video.
@TimSeatonPainting2 жыл бұрын
That salesman is dead wrong. The whole draw of this pump IS that it's great on fine finish work. It doesn't show pulsation BECAUSE it's a diaphragm pump. It's better than running an airless. Canrun shorter and narrower hose as well.

Glad I caught this. Been looking to get one for a while now. Almost had no choice but to get the gx19 due to backorder. Luckily one was found for me. Also seeing the issue with the knob has me wondering if that's the issue that stopped me in my tracks today with my 440 multifinish. Hopefully I'll have both my pumps up and running tomorrow. Thanks so much man 🙏🏻🙏🏻

You're very welcome! I actually put a bolt in the prime outlet and eliminated that feature all together. Turns out it wasn't necessary with a gravity fed pump!

Graco GX19 is an airless piston this is a diaphragm.. getting it today.. I have the new Graco ultra shot.. too. and a Graco 295 with a hopper.. want to try a diapgram sprayer.

How does the oil keep from getting into the finish and causing quality issues? Do you flush it before each use?
@advicefromayoungtradesmant24822 жыл бұрын
Yes I run some water through it before putting an actual coating in and I've never seen any indication that the oil is affecting the finish. Great question though I did wonder that myself.

One thing that you said that is very wrong is that this machine sprays smoother finish that 440, not true, it has nothing that makes it spray smoother finish than a pump sprayer
