I was literally transported through my childhood watching this reliving the great times farming my family we had beef and multiple market crops and road market and I worked for a dairy that was champion holestien doing embryo transplants back in the early 80’s The drive , the anxiety, the satisfaction, the fellowship after , pure sense of accomplishment. Brian ,Jeff ,and Cole I know what grain beef and machinery costs have been through the years . You have done very well. Cole Thank you so much for your hard work bringing us along you stand out in the genre with your never ending new camera angles and your family’s wit and wisdom you showcase it well . I’ve seen this video before, quite some time ago, but I watched it again anyway and this time I really realize first the work involved for BULL DAY, and secondly, I really appreciated the camaraderie that was shown between not only family members, but all of the farmers/ranchers who came to buy a BULL from you, and it was wonderful that one guy had been coming for over 35 years. That really speaks highly of their satisfaction regarding the bulls, but also the respect I have for Sonne Farms❣️♥️♥️♥️♥️!!

Did I ever tell you about the time as a 4-H member I raised registered angus. I sold one large bull and he had a good disposition. We tried loading him into a truck down a narrow hallway in the middle of the barn. The one side of the hall was grain storage and the other side were cattle pens. Well, when the bull got to the ramp into the truck he decided he wasn't having any of it. In slow motion, he turned around in the hallway. To do it, he pushed out the wall on the grain storage side and busted up one hay rack on the cattle pen side. It was like the grain storage wall was hinged at the top, as the top stayed in place but the bottom moved out about four feet. We were lucky the loft wasn't full of hay at that time of year as it was a load bearing wall. We finally got him loaded and his reward was Holstein cows! That's all I've got to say on that.

Great video! Nice when friends & family get together. We tested our bulls each spring. In the extreme winter conditions of northern Alberta they can freeze testicles (which actually happened to our brother in law's 2 bulls.) We told him that he should test them. He didn't & he lost most of his calf crop because he also didn't pay attention to the cows cycling back time & time again!

👍👍👍. PERFECT video and learning about all the efforts put into making a good breeding bull. Especially the history of how it all began with Brian proving to his dad that he could do it well. Fun seeing all the old customers and friends sharing their stories. A lot of history that would make a good book and maybe help others that anything is possible if ya dream big and work hard and have a great reputation. Like my gramps always preached that you only have your name so work to make it remembered and always treat others like they’re the most important person ya ever met. It certainly has worked for your farm as I loved watching Brian fondly and proudly watching each bull as they left the farm. Glad your knee is better Cole and hope no surgery is needed but ya do need to strengthen the muscle to keep the knee stronger. It REALLY does help ya just have to commit and like me 40 years later no more surgeries and a much stronger knee. After all you’ve learned and done Cole with stories of your own ya haven’t begun to match Brian’s or Jeff’s long history of stories. Ya need to document them all and especially all those old time customers who share amazing memories of your dads success. Honor the the farms name with a book and certain it would be a best seller. A lot of history with all the old friends there at Bull Day. Loved loved this video cus like ya said never seen anything like this but wonder what happens to the one testicle bull and one with attitude? 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
