3 years ago I really wanted a hamster, I begged my parents for one and they said I could if I did proper research on them. That's when I came across your channel. I got my hamster in June 2022 and she is still going strong! I am so thankful for your videos, helping me and so many other pet owners give their pets a great life!

I had a similar case! I had wanted a hamster when I was 7. I have begged my parents for one but I never got one. Later in 2022 around November/December I had come across this channel. I was so interested in all the different videos so I took notes on them. I looked at hamster care guide, safe and unsafe items for hamsters, as well as their diet and expenses. In the end I had watched like every video relating to their care that I had 4 pages of notes. I had showed my parents the notes and they said I could get one. Then in January of 2023 I got a hamster. There names are pancakes and waffles they are robo dwarf hamsters and there are almost 2. Just 4 more months! 😁

My Syrian hamster named chip started out in a 20 gallon long tank with a 9 inch wheel 2 inches of bedding. some chew toys and a hide. Then I came across your channel and fixed my care now he is in a 40 gallon tank with a 10 inch wheel 8 inches of paper bedding 4 hideouts chew toys different substrates a sand bath a nice varied diet and I am buying him some cork to climb on, sprays, and herbs today. Now he is almost 2 years old he will be 2 in January of 2025. Thank you so much Victoria for making these hamster care videos and giving so many people knowledge on proper hamster care. Now I do research on hamster care and other pets care as something I do in my free time and it is very enjoyable.

On the 19th, two days after her first bday, my hammy Sandy suddenly started limping! I took her to the vet and he said it was either sprained or broken and to give it some rest. Luckily she’s doing much better and using her leg a bit again! 😊 i was so relieved haha

I had been asking my parents for years for a hamster and I removed about a month before my birthday In September of last year I knew I was going to get a hamster for my birthday so I did some research and I found your channel then on my birthday I got a 4 week old syrian named boe and about a week after my birthday this year he got wet tail so I got him medicine and the vet said he would most likely be fine, he made it almost a week until he passed away I don’t know how I would make it through this without your videos to cheer me up and you helped me to give him a great life I am so grateful for you and I know boe is too

I came across your Ghost Hamster video just when I had just gotten my hamster and he was in his adaptation phase... I was like "nah... i dont think my hammy is going to be a ghost hamster..." Well he is 😂 I was trying to tame him for weeks just giving him treats, picking him up slowly... but he would wake up later and later until I never got to see him before I went to bed :') I think it is not that he is scared of me personally, but he doesn't like to be picked up or getting out of his enclosure... My hamster before him LOVED getting out and was super social so I was surprised of his desinterest at first... He only wants to use his wheel for hours, and that is okay!

I love the hamsters so much you inspired me to actually start a KZbin channel and I’m so happy I found someone ho could show me proper care I used to have 2 Syrian hamsters who only lived in a small cage but now I have 4 hamsters living in 600 inch cages with 8 inches of bedding and I know it’s not perfect but I’m very happy to say my hamsters are having a happy and enriched life because of you so thank you so much I’ve been watching all your videos over and over agian for almost 2 years and I’m still not bored so what I’m trying to say is thank you so much for all you do for hamsters it means a lot to many of us -Charlotte❤❤❤

Very cool project! My first Syrian hamster Speedy got Cushing’s Disease. He lost all of his fur and looked unrecognizable. His skin got dry, which caused some painful bruising. Poor thing. He was so sweet. If the vet diagnosis is that, then it’ll be great if she can help manage it. Good luck at the appointment 🤞🏽

It probably would work great with rats since they're a bit heavier!! I would assume if it was an allergy it could cause his skin to become itchy and irritated but in Penny's case it's not. It would probably be almost impossible to try and figure out if he was allergic to something considering the amount of substrates and ingredients in his food 🥲

Unfortunately I don't have a ton of tips when it comes to biting, for some hamster's they may just want to be left alone or they need to learn that your hand isn't something they need to be scared of, offering treats may help.

Recently, my friends were admiring my hamster setup and said, and I quote "wow he's spoiled. When I had a hamster, she just had a small cage in the corner of my room. " When I asked, I asked how she got exercise, and she said,"She had a ball. " That made me sad, and what's even worse is that she died from rolling down the stairs 💔 My other friend said that she snuck her hamster to school for show and tell by putting it in her pocket and she sat on it. It's so sad people are more aware that just because hamsters are small doesn't mean that they aren't worthy of good care and a happy life 😭❤️‍🩹

I am so inspired by you and I getting all the stuff that you recommended for hamsters and I’m so excited I got a lot of niteangle and more I had a hamster and I did have a big enough cage, but not enough bedding and he did live very healthy but then I don’t know the doctor thought it was over grooming or something and he had a hole in the side of him and he was breathing weirdly, but they could’ve fixed the hole if he wasn’t breathing weirdly so they had to put him to sleep
