yes very much so and I have been watching your videos and I like the way you can zoom in and out and look around so easy. any advise would be great,. cheers Steve

+steve scott So what equipment do you have? Are you using a yoke or joystick. I have a CH Products Eclipse Yoke and that is what I use for all the views. It has two hat switches which I programmed for the views and a button that returns me to forward view quickly. Skip

I have Saitex Pro yoke and rudder pedals but no trim as yet

What's so important on the log file?🤔

Hi JJTVism, Nothing really except it is a record of your flying. In real life a pilot must keep a log of his/her hours and that is what this is, your logbook. If you don't care to keep track of your hours then this is no big deal for simmers. I've been flying on computers from the beginning back in the 80s and have kept a log just for fun. Real pilots MUST maintain a logbook to prove they have the required training in all aircraft they fly. I'm a student pilot and I have a logbook with entries for every flight I have taken. As a student every entry in my book is signed off by my instructor to prove I actually flew and preformed all required maneuvers and am qualified to solo a Cessna 172. If I were to loose this book I would have to start all over in my training because I would not be able to prove I had flown so the logbook is critical to a pilot, his/her career depends on it so they make photocopies or do what ever it takes to make sure they have a legal backup. Dear Skip, I got my first pc in 1989 - an original IBM 286 XT I think. Very soon I "got" a copy of the FS. I think, it was before MS bought it, but I'm not sure. I remember my first starts from Chicago Meigs and very much later my first happy landing. May be you are right, it would be nice to have a log from all my flights up to now. I know that in real pilot's life, you have to log your flights. I started to get a glider license and had my own logbook. I was grounded by a doctor before my first solo flight and probably it saved my life. It was diabetes what grounded me. I don't complain about that, because you can do something against it, when you know what's going on. From time to time I go to a gliders ground and ask one of the teachers, if he flies with me. So I can have both: a flying experience and a healthy life 😎 Gliding in xplane is not so much fun for me. Theremics (?) are not so well modeled, that you can spin up, which is so much fun in real life. The feeling of natural forces that carry you up in the sky is a great pleasure. +Kavan Shah +Kavan Shah Hi Kavan Shah, Not sure if I can help, did you try to download a second time, if not try again. If that fails try reinstalling the program from the DVD but to a different location on your computer so you do not overwrite any files you may have changed or added such as new airplanes and scenery. Also make sure you copy your logbook files to a different location so you can put it in the newly installed X Plane folder. Here are some folders you should copy to a safe location: "Resources", "Custom Scenery" "Output", and "Aircraft". Create a folder called X Plane Backup or something like that where you can put these folders. After you get X Plane running again you can replace the new folders with the one's you backed up. To be safe don't delete the new folders at first but rename them such as Output_new, Resources_new so if something goes wrong you can delete those you put in and rename Output_new back to Output which would leave you with just what X Plane installed. Hope this makes sense and helps. if not this time the next time you upgrade. I make a copy of my Logbook after every flight and put it in a backup folder just to make sure I never loose the hundreds of hours I've accumulated over the years.
