I am not grey yet but bought myself a scrunchie and love how you covered your scrunchie with your hair. You are an absolute lifesaver for those of us with fine hair. My hair is very curly from about my ears down (straight on top) and I put my hair in pin curls (easy to sleep on) and the next day I have the volume and lovely waves with zero heat damage. Sometimes, to freshen my waves I spritz them and then use the blow dryer on low and keep the bobby pins in as long as I can. I love your easy videos-not a whack of products (and toxic fumes) and zero annoying music! ♥

I love your video I'm a x cosmetologist I am 73 and I experiment with my hair everyday and that's why I keep my hair long like yours because you can wear so many different styles short hair is too damn hard to keep and I don't like short hair but that is me I give myself volume I have used everything out there on the market the only thing that works for me is I will take either baking soda baking powder or cornstarch about the size of a dime and rub it in my hands real good and then I work it through the roots of my hair and you talk about volume you've got volume that's that's my little trick that I found out over the years goes as we get older our hair thins out and I have natural curly hair but it's just enough to be on The flipping frizzy side and I have to really work at that and it also helps that as well just a little trick I thought I'd pass on to you maybe you do or don't know about it and hopefully you can get some use from it but I do like your video very much. Lights camera action.

Absolutely brilliant! I have so many hair scrunchies I've never worn as they never seemed to blend in convincingly with my own naturally straight hair. Now I have a lovely thick and full hair bun up do. It's so quick and easy too. I haven't quite mastered the second version of how to turn it into a messy bun yet but I am sure I will in time.

Well thank you very much Karli West. Oh I certainly have my aches, pains and other age related issues, but I do go to the gym 3 times a week and try to live a healthy lifestyle. Most of all I manage my stress with journaling, keep learning, am involved in sharing my gathered skills and knowledge over my lifetime and don't embrace militant ignorance in order to be liked. I think these all contribute to how we feel and therefore how we look. Thank you again for your kind words.

After watching several of your videos, the thought that came to mind was that you must NOT live in an area with a lot of wind (big grin). I could never get away with just using a few little spritzes on my finished hair style. I love your videos and want to try some of your suggestions. Problem is that I have a shorter hair style with permed hair growing out. Thanks for your ideas.

So glad you like Victoria Lehmann. We certainly do have wind in Toronto, but I use John Freida Frizz Ease and find it to be a pretty good spray. I like that the Extra Hold really does do that, yet when brushed out, there is no sticky residue and in fact my hair feels fuller. If you haven't tried it, I would recommend.

Your hair doesn't have to be any longer than it is now Lu (as in your profile pic). You can use them as a chignon over top of short hair at the nape of your neck too for a lovely classic look.
@Lu.G.7 жыл бұрын
You are so sweet to take the time to help me out! Unfortunately, I had a "curly cut" in April and the stylist did quite the undercut at the nape of my neck. While I do put it up in a high pony to sleep, about 1/4 of it falls out of the hair tie because of how it was cut. Of course, on the up side, it has grown since then and not quite as much falls out at night, haha. I'm SO close, though! Have a great weekend!

I do this exact same thing with a hair scrunchie. I have stick straight hair, but can achieve the same look. I went white/grey (from a natural french brunette) about 9 years ago when looking after my mum while she passed away. I have naturally fine straight hair - which has now become quite coarse, but still dead straight. I have always had a 'Bob', of one sort or another ... but have just let it grow over the last year and it's now quite long, and I have been feeling 'unkempt' and a bit scruffy. But, after watching half a dozen of your videos yesterday...I have bought a real hair scrunchie - can't wait for it to arrive!! Its a really lovely soft and sophisticated look that I am wanting, (as I enter my 60's), and I think this will help me accomplish it. **Thanks for taking the time and effort to share your expertise - it's a lovely testament to the Love you have for your daughter - Father God, Bless Sharon with abundance both physically and spiritually through you, in Lord Jesus Christ's mighty name - For your Glory ... just 2 thoughts to leave you with 1 Corinthians 11:15 - But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for [her] hair is given her for a covering.

Hi Sharon. You mentioned two things to spritz the hair for curl. I think you said curl keeper or Deva. Could you please tell me the exact names and details of these products and possibly where they can be purchased. These sound great to refresh my curls on my no wash days. Thank you so much. Lyn.

Thanks for the question Lyn. I use Curl Keeper and/or water. They can be purchased at Trade Secrets in Canada now I believe. And you can just google Curl Keeper. I use "Curl Keeper Original". Hope that helps.
