My former department boss. He has an employee whose son had violent and tragic death. The day after his son died, his boss called him if he could work for the day.....all because the boss wanted a day off. I was shocked to see the guy working that day, knowing what happened the day before. The news spread on the workplace and many people including me lost what little respect we had for him (he was all around incompetent and lazy to begin with). Some shit just shouldn't be said to a person in mourning.

That includes working, spending time with other people, or doing your favorite hobby, etc. Of course Im not saying this was the boss' intentions, he was clearly being an asshole, just wanted to share that information.

I worked with a guy manager whom I lost all respect for the first week I was there. I been with the company 10 years already but was transferred to another location as the extra help. I showed up right after Christmas and the guy wasn't at work because he was sick and had pneumonia. I take pneumonia very seriously because less than 10% of my husband's lung collapsed from pneumonia. So when he showed back for work I told him not to worry about and go back home. So he did, told me He was leaving early to go home and sleep. Few hours later he had a phone from a woman asking for him so I said he sick and left early to go home and get some sleep. She said "ok" and hung up. I found out later, that woman was his wife, he never went home. He would call on the weekends saying he had the flu and showed up Monday magically cured with a doctor's note. Meanwhile I'm so sick from my jacked up liver for the whole week, under doctor supervision and he's texting me telling me to get to work. My job place sided with me btw. I would come in with a doc excuse the few times I couldn't work, was told I didn't need one and that I wasn't the problem child. He finally got fired for following a minor around the store and calling her "sexy".

Husband's ex-friend. They got along like gangbusters until this one particular day. Hubby had been having a few drinks with friend and because he has a CDL (commercial driver's license) he didn't want to risk driving. Friend offered to drive so hubby agreed (yeah, friend was probably slightly over legal limit but hey this is Wisconsin). Friend took a turn too hard and hit someone's fence. He panicked, jumped out of the car, and ran down the road, leaving hubby sitting in the passenger seat, at first in shock then fuming. Luckily no one was home at that house, and there were no cops around. Hubby yelled for friend to come back and finish the drive, and he did. When they got to our house I got an earful about it and friend was sent home (his vehicle was parked at our house). After that, my husband didn't talk to the guy for weeks, and never did the relationship go back to what it once was. The friend had proven that in a pinch he'd throw the other person under the bus. He still texts and calls but my husband just brushes him off most times. I don't really even want the guy at our house. Too bad. 25 years wasted on a false friend.

Honestly, I dont get the obsession with nonviolence; if someone starts punching you, I dont consider it appropriate to sit there and take it; fighting back against physical violence through physical violence should not be criminalized in the way public schools criminalize it. It essentially turns kids into whimpering little pussies who are too afraid to stand up for themselves for fear of looking difficult, which is precisely what you want to look like. I nearly got into two fights on two separate occasions in high school. I defused the situation both times by looking tough and made it very clear I would fight back; people dont bully you if you can punch back; they bully you because you won't punch back.

These religious zealots are the worst. Last year a friend of ours had a heart wrenching decision in front of her when she found out that she was pregnant at the same time that she found out that she had an aggressive spreading form of cancer that would kill her before the baby was even born. She had 3 other small tots at home already, and a farmer husband who couldn’t quit to care for them very long. They made the painful decision to abort the baby so that they could save her life so she could raise the other babies she already had. Under the upcoming rules that will surely take place as soon as the extremely biased Supreme Court strikes down Roe/Wade, the next people to have this happen to them will not have that choice. So many women will die needlessly who can’t access health care due to pregnancy. How is that even remotely smart when both mother and child will die anyway? Because it’s gods will? Which God? Because what drivel we get taught is entirely subjective to where we are born in the world. Utah? Your prophet is Joseph Smith not Jesus. Middle East? Your god is Mohammed. Here? You are Catholic or Christian sects. Entirely luck of the draw what “only correct” religion you get spoon fed from birth that can’t be proven by anyone and likely started the exact same way as that crock of sh-t Scientology did, as a crappy creative writing exercise that people took as gospel and RAN with 😂

That feeling went away when she revealed she liked someone else, and did not want to be my girlfriend even if her other relationship wouldn't work out, and I lost my respect for her in general for a little while, but I realized that I was very unhappy without her and wanted her to forgive me. She told me that besides making her feel uncomfortable just by touching her shoulder and you know kinda do that cliché yawn and stretch thing in a sort she included he locked my bedroom door when i walked out of the room for a moment and he kissed her on the lips. Keep in mind she was about 7 or 8 at the time and he would have been around 11 or 12 and they were friends back then. I was shocked to hear this but she told me i walked back he stopped and she ignored what happened and kept it to herself because she thought no one would believe her and maybe it was a joke of some kind. I told her about what happened with his half sister only because i knew about this story minus the kiss and let her know if she ever see’s him again do not be afraid to hit him and if he does anything do not be afraid to throw and break things to get someone’s attention if she has to even if it’s something like my TV or expensive like my PS4 or even PS5 if i had one because that stuff maybe expensive and it can be replaced but what can’t be replaced is her damn sanity and her respect for herself not to have been a victim of something like that. Two stories: 1. I was going out with a friend and her group of friends (I didn't know any of them beforehand). During the evening I started to talk more and more with them as they were all friendly, chatty and outgoing. Around midnight we split up, one of the girls got in a taxi and drove off. Just before that, they are all "ohhh, loooove you soo much, we need to see each other more, can't wait to go out with you again" - all that jazz. The very moment she was off they changed it to "ppfff she's SUCH an annoying bitch! Can't stand her, so full of herself!" The thoughts I had about friend requesting them on FB and such - gone in an instant. 2. My former boss and I weren't at great terms, let's put it at that - don't really know how it all started. But anyway, we are doing the big clean of the (industrial) kitchen. Everyone picks something to do - I pick taking down the big suction/extractor hoods and run them through the dish washer. The hoods are heavy, greasy and very slippery, but tbh I don't mind that too much, mainly because I'm alone and can do it at my own pace. My boss comes out and start going on about how it doesn't look like I have any idea of what I'm doing - all done in a very berating/patronising tone, like the way you'd speak to a puppy or a toddler. After I'd cleaned the hoods and put them up again I grabbed a sponge from the bucket full of greasy and dirty water, HURLED it at his face (I missed by about 50 cm) and told him to go fuck himself. Next day HR told me 'maybe this isn't the right place for you'.

Yes, I'm aware that Will's wife is a massive bitch, that doesn't make it okay to insult her like that. Yet there's no end to hypocrites like you who condemn Will for "violence" yet your own words make it painfully clear that you don't even actually understand what violence IS. On top of all that, it is utter stupidity to believe that one simple slap invalidates the person Will has been all his life. He has always been a good person and you are true scum if you believe that slapping a man over a cancer joke changes that. You DARE say he needs to keep his hands to himself? You need to keep your ignorant opinions to yourself. Pull your head out of your own ass and learn your place.

My ex best friend was baby sitting his gf 3 year old son. He beat the kid to death, don’t know why he did it (no excuse is justified for why he did it). He was sentenced to 30 years in prison, he has wrote me letters I haven’t open them. Me and his brother kept being friends for years, one day he mentions how he misses his brother. He then says the mom should of raised her son better instead of spoiling him. Few friends and myself didn’t take the comment well. How could you make and excuse for someone beating to death a child. I cut all contact with that family.

I hate that the person was mad at their friends for not going to hr. It doesn’t work. They get away with it. It ruined my work life, when I was being harassed and my company didn’t care. It got far worse and I had no more friends and my supervisors wouldn’t talk to me

Two weeks into Obama's presidency a Marine accidentally drove over the Mexican border with a shotgun in his trunk. Obama ignored his family's calls & left him to rot in prison. Instant voter regret.

Anyone who talks about "Respect" is an idiot. How does "I lost respect for you" or "I don't respect you" not sound like the person has a superiority complex. Like their respect is so important that losing it is this big thing. It is honestly archaic and asinine. You can lose "Respect" for someone, but to regard it as the be all end all or think it means this grand thing is just stupid. Oh no, you lost respect for someone; well they lost respect for you. What's that, your respect is better than their respect? Why? You deem it to be so, thus it is? See what I mean about it being stupid? I always think of the japanese system of "Face" when respect is used. How long before "Respect" affects your day to day life? Someone loses respect for you and you can't get money from a bank / ride a train. Oh wait, that's already a thing / a thing people think is for the best. Boy do I love the cult like mentality of people
