500,000 to emergency for marijuana? That's obviously made up.

The drugs conversation annoyed me more than I learned anything from it. The younger guest needs more exposure.

+SuperAdmirerOf OmKalthoum I totally agree. He keep saying 'from my own life' , 'in my experience' which really proves nothing.

+Orion let's not talk about 'reliability' when we are looking at just one person and his 'anecdotes'. we can argue about how much this could work but i just dont see it happening. plus,Johann Hari is not a law maker he is a journalist. i am not supporting the white politician - though i agree with his idea on media focusing on liberalising of personnal behaviours- i am saying hari's argument with partial 'evidence' with portugal is not convincing enough. you are advocating freedom of using hallucinogens and you cant just let me practice my freedom of speech? Jeez.

+HWON KANG Where exactly was your right to free speech called into question? Must have missed that... The author of the book needs more exposure? The guy who's first memory is of prodding a lifeless body that overdosed? Anyway the U.S. government especially has no right to talk about the dangers of drugs as the CIA has been exposed smuggling cocaine into American ghettos. That guy on the screen is a proponent of perpetual misery.

+Nicholas Johnson 'Proponent of perpetual misery You made it very clear that your trust on the US govt is almost zero at least on this matter.I do not disagree with you.I'm not here to defend the government, because I stand no chance in winning the argument of all these US conspiracies. First hand encounter in "prodding a lifeless body' does not equate to actually having the expert knowledge on it.I'm not saying that the old politician in the video does, but the policies we have now is not only vetted by him but by many others who,by the way, were selected by US citizens one way or the other. I'm sure the US govt does not ONLY consist of surreptitious politicians, there are actual experts and advisers who not only prod A lifeless body that overdosed but MANY of them and studied the statistics of MANY other countries.I'm certain that there are ways to improve the policy - seeing the state of things- but NOT liberalising the CAUSE of the problem. I'm saying that Hari radical idea is really impractical (although he is arguing that it is from his portugal;experience) and as a tax payer this is absurd . I'm writing this to explain my point. If you think that the US govt is entrenched in invidious policies with no good at all. Sure, dude, you are entitled to your opinion, go on and vote for something better next election or join some social movement but you don't see me starting a confrontation or an internet debate, do you? Take a chill pill and move on, some people have different opinions, big news.
