The “Johnny Wilkinson” of boxing, picked up a lot of injuries due to lack of size in the modern heavyweight division. So exciting to watch in his earlier fights and, in his later career gave Del (when he was at his best) a boxing lesson and sparked him out in the 5th…something Fury couldn’t do in three fights. @@sleepydank8330 Realistically who would Haye fight Jai Opetai would obliterate him at Cruiser Even at Heavy I would take the entire Top 15 to beat him The 2024 version of Haye doesn’t get past Moses Itauma He would get seriously hurt Bloke hasn’t fought in 6 YEARS

@@boxingmonkey8621 Moses ituamu wouldn’t last 5 rounds haye has not lost his power, David is a seasoned veteran and he trains all the time a fit haye beats the like of whyte, Parker, joyce ect. He couldd fight manual char or hellinus as a first fight

The Haye Bellew press conference with Eddie Hearn remains one of the best until this day. Yes i know much of it was contrived but still it was great viewing. Definitely a way to sell a fight.

If David can come back and be successful - that's gonna be one of the greatest comebacks in the history of boxing. I wish him well and somehow in the face he looks like the 2013 version of David Haye.

My favorite heavyweight champ wasn't the best of all time but a very entertaining fighter in a dull Klitschko era. Should be a HoF but we will see.

David haye was a force of nature but the party life and the lifestyle in general outside of the ring caught up with him!

The party lifestyle never really caught up with him. I think the issue was he set his goal to leave boxing as soon as he turned 30 which was just after he fought wladamir (which would have been the fairytale way to go out if he won) but because that result didnt go his way he was stuck in limbo about what to do. He barely fought for the next 2 years and then the injuries he picked up in the build up to both tyson fury fights pretty much ended his career. The comeback he made years later was all a bit half assed

@@ryanmichael7795 When you’re training, and partying, you’re burning the candle at both ends. Cortisol is high, body starts to break down due to unaddressed adrenal fatigue, then injuries take place. Like he mentioned. He would get home at 4 in the morning, get up at 9 and go train. This screams injury incoming prematurely which unfortunately happened. Force of nature though. Genetically blessed, and gave me some great memories! ⭐️
