Great rebuild of an old subwoofer. For best sound quality, the subwoofer chamber must be separated from the other speaker drivers. I also would not cover up the power supply with insulation. Maybe mount the power supply up high. Subwoofers need to be on the floor in a corner, but mids and highs need to be at the listener's ear level, so this is not ideal for listening to music with the highest possible quality. This system would be great at a party, though, indoors or out. It's powerful and self-contained.

The sub speaker can induce voltages in the other speakers and damage that board. You can see in the video, the bass is flexing those woofers a lot, probably way beyond what they're designed for. I like that adhesive used between the board and the aluminum plate. Need to get me some of that.

technically is this not the proper way to do it. you can not have a full range speaker and a sub woofer in the same box without dividers. You will get a lot of distortion on the mid side because the sub is making the mid move also. It can also damage the speaker.

Agreed but this didn't seem to be designed for near field usage like in front of a computer monitor nor a hometheater setting more along the line of playing in the background (it identified as "garage" for the blue tooth app) since it's not for critical listening (studio mixing, pin point location sounds for gaming, etc) odds are what little it distorts would only be noticed when played loud and near the two speakers. It reminds me of many blue tooth speakers that have a decent set of features, acceptable background sound, and used more for social gatherings. Ideally sealing each driver compartment from one another, designing around the T/S of the drivers, and pointing them to the listening area would get the most out of it but then it did mention garage so to me it was way more than doable. I also don't expect it to damage the drivers unless he listens often into the clipping range, most car drivers are in similar situations and tend to last years or the life of the car, if this was a sealed enclosure there might be a problem down the line but because it's vented I don't expect him to have any long term issues with what he did.

Nice! I'm glad to see someone FINALLY using Pioneer speakers for a project! And I don't know what kind of mic system you are using, but as you were turning that speaker around, the sound was moving around my surround sound speakers and I could hear them in the left, the right and center channels! Never had that happen before.

great job done!! there is one mistake here coaxial speakers are subjected to the pressure created by the Subwoofer!!! they should have a separate chamber!! in short, the enclosure is too small for that many speakers!! greetings and wish you more successful projects!!!

@@ErCanEverything Your idea is great but there is a little bit problem. You put all the speaker in one box that is not great because the tone speaker could be damaged. The subwoofer speaker will create a large pressure on other two speaker, and the other two speaker has not that much ability to move the screen so much. But the subwoofer has, So it will create a extra pressure. Because this speaker is built in such a way that it can do a lot of movement while delivering bass. I hope you get it. Your work is beautiful.

It's a shame that the power amp doesn't have a high-pass filter for the speakers. then it would sound much better. Or you would have a separate volume for the subwoofer. Nevertheless, I think it worked out well (thumbs up) Hello from Germany

Drivers should not be placed against each other or mix it with a driver with a different frequency response. Certain frequency levels will be cancelled due to the opposing movements of the cone. This will make the bass flat or less distinct.

Great tutorial.. Only the subwoofer needs to begin where the midrange leaves off, and not coincide with one another, or the frequencies will conflict out of range.

The transformer is designed for a 60W subwoofer and I added another 2 x 50W to it which will load a lot and even make the sound worse. And that's why I added a 130W adapter to it. You should have acoustically separated the two loudspeakers from the bass driver, as their membranes will be overly agitated by the bass, which could lead to distortion in the loudspeakers.

Sir, I think that this is wrong. You have put subwoofer and vocal speakers in the same box. I did this and and I damaged my vocal speaker's amplifier ic. Speaker was fine but ic got fried up. Please consider this and give your subwoofer different space.

Only thing done correctly on this project is soldering, and the use of the down firing sub. Using coaxial speakers where passive radiators should have been installed is going to damage them, it will also cancel out the bass unless you reverse the polarities of the coaxials Another point is the power blocks risks of becoming over heated covered in poly fill inside the enclosure.

At about 23:55 in the video during the final demo, the camera passes the port. It is obvious that you can see right through the cabinet at the wall behind it. I didn't notice any open area (except the port) once the rear plate was attached. How can that be?? I'm thinking that the sub and the full range pair did not play (literally) nice together, as should have been expected. Still, with a bit of modification 😅, this can be remedied. The 3 speakers cannot share the same airspace. You might consider some other type of song to use for the demo. I'm guessing a more full range audio test would reveal a big mess. However, if you're someone who doesn't care about sound quality... they'll be perfect.

Those poor mid speakers (Pioneer) You can't put the Sub and midrange on the one box dude. The sub will make those 2 pioneers distort when the bass hits. I hope you make a divider on those midrange speakers if you want to put those 3 speakers on the one box./

A structural tragedy for me. 1) mid-bass speakers in one cabinet, in addition with a bass speaker - the diaphragms interact and create a huge sound distortion 2) cut off tuned ear canal for SW 3) the brown glue that was originally yellow (the color changes as it ages) is extremely corrosive and when degraded from the conductive part - the manufacturer's fault, it should have been removed immediately 4) I just hope that the white substance fixing the supplied plate is not an acetate-based silicone - it is extremely corrosive and must not be used on non-ferrous metals All the best in the new year 🙂 Tom ​

фазоинвертер расчитан под тот динамик который был , смысл было так делать , если первый динамик мощнее второго , то он будет выдавливать его. А так же второй динамик на ход будет раньше выходить из за того , что фазик не расчитан для нового динамика( фазоинвертер нужно расчитывать с умом , что бы динамик на ход не выходил , а поддреживал его , что бы можно было мощность больше дать) , у них должны быть разные ящики или как минимум разделены стенкой полноценной , но тогда ящик в целом больше нужен. Испортите вы его так.
